@ChaissonSpencer Yeah for me it was always how quickly some fans were ready to call it a failure. Bolduc got a couple of early goalies, and Mailloux looked like he was playing in his 10th NHL game (b/c he was), and fans were calling it the worst trade of Armstrong's career.

@BluesFanRants It is almost like that. And it was always shocking to me how many people were willing to. It always felt like they WANTED it to fail for whatever reason: a final way to dunk on Army, b/c they didn't like Mailloux's past, or b/c they loved Bolduc too much.

@Jimcredible14 I actually don't disagree with you, but you can't argue that "the team is finally at full strength" AFTER they've lost two guys who were combining for 40 minutes a night. Unless your argument is that they specifically were what was holding us back. But that's still not the same.

@TwoGuysOneCup I think Schenn’s presence this year has been minimal. Love the guy an all time Blue, but let’s not act like he was carrying the load for us. Same goes for Faulk, Mailloux and Broberg have simply elevated to top line pairing dmen, seemingly at will. He wasn’t so special.

@Jimcredible14 Yes, largely. The team also lost its captain and a top four defenseman at the trade deadline. Teams change over the course of a season. And a few people getting healthy doesn't explain going from 31st in the league to unbeatable overnight.

@JimmyBluesSTL One particular person is arguing very hard that it is Robert Thomas. Love Thomas and he was an amazing draft pick but not even close to Pietrangelo’s impact. And if it’s a “pick value” argument then you’d have to look at Binnington first or someone else lower down.

@dbrownz28 @paulhockey16 Mailloux is getting better by leaps and bounds in front of our eyes, and Bolduc has been mid since a hot start. Hasn't had a goal since the New Year, in fact. Almost like defensemen take longer to develop at the NHL level and it was stupid to judge the trade so early.
