Hulk Hogan died today. His legacy is complicated, as most legacies are. Did he positively impact my life? Absolutely! I had a Hulk Hogan wrestling buddy as a kid, adored his NWO heel turn as a teen, and Rock vs Hogan might be the best Wrestlemania match of all time. But that’s Hulk Hogan the wrestler. Hulk Hogan the person? That’s a different story entirely and that person, Terry Bollea, negatively impacted my life in more ways than one. Like the attached quote, which is 100% real. I’m not here to tell anyone not to celebrate Hulk Hogan. But I am here to say that it’s important to know who and what you’re celebrating. An iconic wrestler? Yes An iconic person? I wish that were true “I guess we’re all a little racist.” No. No we aren’t.

@CedricAPhillips Terry was also a POS within the business as well. Kept demanding to be the highest paid wrestler causing both Vince and Eric not being able to pay the rest of what they deserved. Rarely willing to give the spotlight to other wrestlers. IE his match with Ultimate Warrior 1/X
