This morning Rio Tinto announced that it replaced its entire fossil diesel consumption with renewable diesel at its @kennecottutah copper operation. That’s a reduction of 450,000 tons of carbon—equivalent to taking 107,000 cars off the road. As one of the largest open-pit mines in the world, Kennecott’s copper is critical to national security 🇺🇸 and a major contributor to the electric vehicle transition.🔋

This is why it’s hard to take @sltrib serious. The #utleg has invested $2.4 Billion in new money into #uted since 2015 — and poised to invest another $300+ million this year. Also, “almost no public input?” HB215 had two public hearings — which is the same as every other bill.
