I know most of you already hate the banking system and @Chase. I'm going to share my recent experience with them and it will blow your mind. I am a @Chase private client customer in the USA. I am currently in South Africa and my US mobile does not work here. @Chase have my US AND my SA number on file. I have been trying to wire funds out of my account for over a month online and every time I do , it gets randomly flagged for fraud. In order to verify the wire, I need to call a fraud protection line. When I do, they want to verify me by calling my calling my US mobile that doesn't work where I am. Unfortunately Chase can't call international number - even in 2024! They therefore can't verify me. Since they cant verify me on my mobile, they attempt to verify me by asking me a personal question - unfortunately the answer they have on file is incorrect and so they can't verify me. I have spoken to a private banker who has tried to assist and together we go through the same process over and over... Believe it or not, the BEST solution they can assist me with is that I should fly to the USA and visit a branch. I kid you not. Otherwise they have no other suggestions. They literally want me to fly to the USA to verify my identity because THEIR system is flagging MY transaction randomly for a fraud. There is no-one to speak to, no human that can help - only humans that are in a call centre that work and sound like robots. I hated @Chase before and have always had low expectations but this is really a new low - even for @Chase . What would you do in my case?
