@BraAubrey I read that maths pass rate in 2025 National Senior Certificate fell from 69.1% in 2024 to 64% in 2025. Distinctions are declining too. My understanding is that the STEM pipeline is narrowing at its base. Please ask Thomas to comment.

Today marks the beginning of Freedom Month in South Africa, a time to reflect on the country’s transition to democracy in 1994 and the meaning of freedom in our lives today.
The words in this image are from a message by Nelson Mandela, read by his daughter Zindzi Mandela at a rally in Jabulani Stadium, Soweto, on 10 February 1985, in response to an offer of conditional freedom.
Madiba's words, and the choices he made, remind us that freedom is not only personal, but collective. That our own liberation is bound up in the liberation of others.
As we reflect this month, we are called to consider what freedom means today, and what it demands of us in building a more just and equal society.

@BraAubrey, you have brought memories about #KateTurkington’s show “Believe It Or Not”. I quickly looked up her website on the web: kateturkington.com.

@BraAubrey This must be the most important night school 🎓 session this year from Stanley. It reminds me of what Jim Rohn once said, “Master your words, and you master your impact”.
