Hot Take: I think this new app is going to flop. Everyone seems to think it’s the next big thing, but I disagree. I know nothing about consumer social—this isn’t a scientific perspective. All I know is the “fun new toy” phase is over and I don’t feel compelled to open it.

Personal news: I was AWOL for a few days to do a routine Colonscopy and I got confirmation that my Crohn's disease is officially dormant/quiescent/remission. I've not had any issues for a long long time, but the official acknowledgement is so good 🥰

People are jumping on a new centralized Web2 social media app as if tokens airdrop would be incoming. It is not. The majority of value will be captured yet again by... ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶c̶r̶e̶a̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶u̶s̶e̶r̶s̶, advertisers. All you get is a temporary novelty.
