December Faculty Spotlight II: Dr. @DajanaePalmer is an Assistant Professor of Qualitative Inquiry in the Dept. of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis at University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Palmer got to see Mary J Blige, Janet Jackson, & Usher in concert all within a year.

Enrollment in TCU's has increased significantly. In 1982, the total enrollment at tribal colleges in the United States was approximately 2,100; by 2003, it had increased to 25,000 (Diversity Digest).

In the US, Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs) are minority-serving institutions defined in the Higher Education Act of 1965. TCU's are operated by federally recognized American Indian tribes. The first TCU was founded by the Navajo Nation in 1968 in Arizona.

On November 4th, Dr. Shawn A. Robinson was inducted into The Reading Center's Hall of Fame for his work on the graphic novel series "Dr. Dyslexia Dude." It is inspirational to see the great work the Dr. Robinson completes. Read more: education.wisc.edu/news/robinson-…
