ADVICE TO VDM: I see someone taking steps towards the correctional centre. I wish VDM could learn from the mistake made by Mazi. Dear leaned friend, I am aware that VDM through his lawyer has distanced himself from the said Video in circulating. But denial of knowledge of a particular act whether personally or through a legal representation does not automatically exonerate him from being a suspect in the alleged offence committed as a result of the published video. Because, the origin of the video was traced to a TikTok account named “Ratel” with over a 100k followers believed to be ratel members. Now the question is who is the leader of the Ratel and who will be reached out first assuming there is an issue with the ratel group? And you know sir, that criminal liability or who can be charged with an offence, including a person who procured or aided or counsel amongst others (Sec 7 cc) can be charged or called upon for questioning. Arresting or inviting VDM doesn’t make him guilty but will aid in getting to the perpetrators of the alleged offences because he is the leader of the group. So he can be arrested or invited on those grounds and such arrest will be said to be based on reasonable suspicion and lawful under the law. Many people think I hate VDM, which is very wrong. I will maintain similar position if it is anyone involved, because I believe in accountability, not only from government but from individuals too. The notion which many Nigerians ignorantly have is that belief that only the government can be called out to give account of their actions. No one is above arrest, unless those immune under the law, but arrest doesn’t automatically translate to guilt and when people like m call for an arrest, it doesn’t mean that we believe that the person is guilty, it just means that we believe the person has some questions to answer. To think that such call is bad and evil, well, I have no word for that. I hope you understand my position now and I hope I am able to address your concerns.

Now that VDM has come out to disassociate himself from the video and offered further clarification about his platforms, did he die? His foolish ratel members should have advise him not to give account of the doctored video and see what will happen to him. Like I said before, he must give account and he has done that. Nigerians of today should know that we’re not more stubborn and aggressive than the Nigerians of our forefathers who fought for our independence and democracy. The difference is that this generation is reckless, impossible to correct, loud, ignorant, and too comfortable with foolishness. VDM should have been another voice remotely close to Fela Kuti, but social media handed microphones to clowns and reduced our public conversations to stupidity. These platforms were supposed to hold govt accountable, instead they became safe spaces for noise, empty outrage, and performative madness from people who should know better. Nigeria has laws. If the state could come after people in the past and nothing happened, it can happen again. Heaven will not fall. Govts before this one have dealt with people they considered a threat to the state and moved on like nothing happened. So be very careful and responsible for what you post on social media platforms. I read so many comments on most of those pages and they were obviously on celebration mood. Fast forward 1 hour later. Most of those same influencers and their followers turned again to say "It wasn't VERYDARKMAN that posted it. It was posted by jibril of Kano"🤔 Fellow Nigerians, our dishonesty is why God doesn't take us seriously. Since I was a child , I have always heard churches praying for Nigeria in distress. But it seems God is quiet. There's a reason for that. God hates dishonesty, hypocrisy and double standards. Many of you celebrating DARKMAN now are not doing so because you think what he's doing is right. You're doing so because you know what he's doing is wrong and it helps you fight and dent the man you hæte.
