@NaikaVideo Same! Always thought this was cheesy good fun. What if Karate Kid was also an asthmatic fan boy crushing on Winnie Cooper 🤓

Besides Way of the Dragon, what are some other good Chuck Norris fights? Haven't seen much of his films but I'd be curious to check some out. Choreography be dammed, Joe Piscopo hamming it up to honey glazed levels makes this point match in Sidekicks a top contender for me 🙃

One of the most famous scenes in martial arts movie history: Bruce stops going straightforward with his approach and weaves around Norris who can't get a hit off. It addresses a turning point that I'm always looking for in fights and the cinematography and rhythm are perfect.

I thought terrorists were supposed to ruin our Christmas by destroying the shopping centers but as it turns out the real killer of the American mall was........ .....online shopping? How will Chuck Norris save us from that?!

Very proud of this stupid Youtube thumbnail I made for our Chuck Norris movie marathon conversation we had on the @FistsofFail podcast. We try to find a good Norris fight outside of Way of the Dragon and go down the Tubi rabbit hole. Give it a listen! youtu.be/czCUu5u1mZ0?si…

Vision obscuring with the hand in front of the face spotted all the way back in Blade 2 (2002) By the look of the grappling and jumping spinning back kick in other parts of the fight I'm guessing Donnie Yen's involvement. A potential influence for Kensuke Sonomura?

I'm spotting some quick head reflexes for precisely timed dodges. I hope Rain hasn't forgotten all that training from Ninja Assassin either.

Bloodhounds Season 2 will make it RAIN First season shat the bad with its ending because of rewrites to remove Kim Sae-ron. Sadly, she would later take her own life. The boxing choreography felt fresh and unique. Let's see if it still has new tricks. youtube.com/watch?v=hswVKU…

The Equalizer (2014) has an action aftermath scene towards the end of the movie choosing to show Denzel exiting the mansion while walking past his downed foes. I could see this being used as a budgetary way to imply a fight scene in the event that the production runs out of time.

Furious 7 (2015) has an action aftermath reveal during the opening credits as Jason Statham exits the hospital the way he got in to show us a huge altercation that happened off screen. Interesting way to "show" a character's power level without seeing it. Any other films do this?

Operation Scorpio introduced us to Kim Won Jin, an unknown Korean stuntman who invented an entire style of movement. Lau Ka Leung (we call him Pops on the Discord) had done this with Yasuaki Kurata in Heroes of the East (1978) whom he tasked with making a crab style, and it became iconic, just like Won Jin's scorpion style here. Pops didn't direct Scorpio but I assume he was the brains behind the scorpion style. In my Action Talks interview, Mark Houghton said Pops wanted to choreograph Drunken Master 2 so that the drunken style was a ruse to lure enemies in. Jackie disagreed and fired him as a director. The final product is great, but I imagine a world where Pops made it like Sammo and came to America. His unique genius was his ability to create a lore of movement. This had every reason to go mainstream in America. Imagine what he'd have done with Black Panther, Blade, or the newer Predator movies. I think there's still so much for us to learn from him.

1 v 1: Ghost Killer - Masanormi Mimoto and Naohiro Kawamoto show off the quickest hands in cinema right now. This brutal boxing is filled with fast fists throwing near misses and more combinations than you can catch in a sitting. Kensuke Sonomura's action direction has no equal.

1 v 1: The Shadow's Edge - Jackie Chan triumphantly returns in a fight that references his many action styles while still evolving appropriately for his age. Ka Fai Leung also gives his all in this intense final showdown that sees anything and everything around to be destroyed.
