Melbourne kicked 5.3 from free kicks last night. Richmond supporters losing their minds. As many as 8-10 baffling holding the ball free kicks not paid. It didn’t cost the Tigers the game but how can fans hope to understand holding the ball when it is so inconsistently interpreted by umpires?

@mattricho0 The Dees are so good to watch and we took it right up to them for three quarters. Can’t help but feel a bit rinsed and robbed of a good finish considering how critical some of those officiating errors were

Wouldn't change the result but Richmond got the wrong end of a lot of decisions or non decisions last night. Some baffling calls.

The league is a shambles. I’m a huge fan of international sport, especially American and say what you want about the “Americanisation” of Aussie sports, it would do a lot of good to import a lot of their administrative processes. There are some issues in the game that the AFL
