Whew… at this stage of the game, I’m sure owning strip malls, box stores, etc. can be like a coaster of ups and downs. These two spots have been many things over the years.

@bradleyflowers I worked at a golf course that tried the same thing. Never worked.

Business idea. Car detailing at the airport. Flying out for a couple of days tomorrow. I’d love to come back to a clean car.

@roundthebend574 I worked in that building. Those are offices and those doors led to a deck/walkway.

I’ve always been so curious about the doors to nowhere on the old Emporium building.

@bradleyflowers That reminds me of a story in Unreasonable Hospitality when Eleven Madison Park in NYC would purposefully place every dish with the underside logo facing the same way in the off chance the guest would flip the plate. Incredible book for any business leader.

Steve Jobs and his dad were building a fence that backed up to some woods. Steve suggested that it didn’t matter what the other side of the fence looked like because no one would ever see it. His dad replied “you’ll know it’s not right though” This lesson translated into Apple… Look at the back or bottom of any apple product and compare that to their competitors….. The way you do the things no one sees is as important as the way you do the things everyone sees.
