@BckupHasArrived @HoustonTexans So why didn't they make it a national holiday and why are they crying about it today?

@Sassafrass_84 This is easily the dumbest post I've seen in a long time. What an ignoramus.

Today, we honor Juneteenth and celebrate freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality. We remember the sacrifices of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to building a more just future for all. #Juneteenth

Juneteenth is both a joyous celebration and a solemn reminder that the road to justice and equality is a long one that we must all walk together. Today, let’s renew our commitment to one another that we will stay vigilant, that we will not turn back, and that we will build a future we can all truly share.

@FoxNews Facts. Tell those Australians to brush up on their American history. 🇺🇸

“The founders fell terribly short of the Declaration’s promise.”
Former President Barack Obama took aim at America’s founders during the opening of his presidential center, arguing they left slavery intact and limited political rights despite laying the groundwork for the nation.
The remarks come just days before the United States marks its 250th anniversary, as Obama urged Americans to continue the work of building a “more perfect” union.

@dixie_cavalier Wow. That's actually a great picture, it's nice to see all of the traitors in one frame. 🇺🇸

@TheBabylonBee So why didn't they make it a national holiday and why are they crying about it today?

Awww here we go. 1) We already know this. 2) No one's demonizing all WHITE people. 3) The only white people we demonize are the white Confederates who fought for slavery and betrayed their country in the bargain. 4) There were over 100k Southerners who fought for the Union. Those are the true patriots!

@CTRedIn2024 @SFGiants 💯 Check out my page where I honor Southerners like Admiral David and and Quartermaster General Montgomery C Meigs who both fought for the Union. Cheers!
English

@captjuneteenth @SFGiants Yes, 83% were white, 17% black. The Black population overall was 14% and the Black population in the southern states was 40% before the civil war. Also over 100,000 Southern whites fought for the union. They were known as Lincoln Loyalists.
Slavery was terrible.

Juneteenth marks a defining moment in American history—the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved Black Americans on June 19, 1865.
Today, we honor the generations of Black Americans whose contributions have shaped our nation, strengthened our communities, and left an enduring impact on our game.
As we commemorate this day, the #SFGiants recognize the power of baseball to connect generations and help tell the stories that shape our future.
