Do you know you’re going to heaven when you die? The Bible tells us we can know for 100% certainty, that it’s eternal, and that it’s a free gift based on our faith in Christ—not of works. Watch this video: bw2h.com - Bible Way to Heaven

@David_wthebeard @JstevensDK7 God gets the credit for salvation… he did all the work to pay for your sin. But he has made the means of accepting that gift through belief in his Son, Jesus. His Word is powerful enough to get people saved.

@JstevensDK7 You wouldn’t be able to recognize that fact if not for the gospel and the work of God. Why do anti Calvinists not want to give God credit for salvation?

Biblical Christianity: “You were dead in sin.” Some Christians: “But God gave me freewill!!!”

@LucasGageX False premise as eternal life has never been for your obedience. You can’t earn eternal life it is simply given freely by Jesus Christ by faith in him.

@CertainSpeaks You morons don’t understand what death is. It doesn’t mean cease to exist. Jesus died a physical death and because he bore our sins he went to the place of death which is hell. Unless you also think Jesus isn’t God in which case you can remain a fool.

Do not be mislead... God never died. Only Satan would want people to believe God can and did die. It is blasphemy.

@farmingandJesus @mattnjas_RN4L All sin is deserving of hell, but sodomy is a capital crime and the alphabet mafia are the people Romans 1 talks about when it mentions reprobates who are haters of God who were given over to their wicked mind/lifestyle.

@AtheistTakes They missed the part in the bible where a rich man named Joseph purchased the tomb. The Romans didn’t give him a tomb.

You can make an argument that extrapolates the principles of not consuming alcohol to not consuming junk food too, and there are reasonable efforts to be made there, but scripture is super clear on avoiding alcohol that it should be adhered to and we shouldn’t be trying to see how close to the line we can get.

I hate spending time on the alcohol/teetotaling debate, but it really is a great litmus test for one’s ability to be honest with the text

Andy Weir explains how his main character in Project Hail Mary is inspired by the Gospel: "Did you notice that the name of the ship is The Hail Mary and it's full of grace? The main character's name is Dr. Ryland Grace. The Hail Mary is full of grace. I could not resist it." Luke 1:28 states, "And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women." Does this elevate the film?

@classical_ifb I also thought almost getting killed would lead to the best version of Trump we were ever going to see and things looked great to start. The Epstein files drama was the turning point and it has been a disaster since then.

Many of my friends stuck to their guns during election 2024 and never supported Trump. I did not do this. I went out and voted for him. They were right and I was wrong.

@KJVPopulist I really don’t get why you defend him so hard. I get GOP being lesser of two evils but I genuinely do not understand being in support of this man with how blasphemous he is towards Jesus/God.

Of course nothing was exactly the same as the KJV or the KJV would have had no need to exist. The translators to the KJV even noted this. The critical text sources are horrible and barely agree with each other and the translation processes used to determine what to use is generally horrible. Stop strawmanning around the 1611 date. There was the Bishops, Geneva, Tyndale, etc and of course the received Greek and Hebrew underlying text before that.

There is no single edition of the TR that matches the KJV word for word. There is actually no translation in any language that agreed with all the readings of the KJV. If the KJV is the preserved perfect word of God, then, the church was without the word until 1611.
Classically Fundamental@classical_ifb

@BeBerean7 The KJV is the standard (and its TR predecessors) because God promised to preserve his word for every generation… so yeah not gonna pretend we were without the true word of God for 400 some years.

The beauty of Catholicism is we have very clear understanding of sin. We also have Grace to help us overcome sin. What is required for you to actually sin? When did David sin with Bathsheba? Did he sin when he just happened to see her from the roof? If he had turned away in charity there would have been no sin. A thought that pops in your head is not a sin, what you do with it is. There is no reason that you have to sin.

I think the issue is most people think sinning are just from their perception really bad things like murder and adultery and stealing. But thinking a foolish thought is a sin; not doing something you know that is good to do is a sin; doing something not of faith is a sin… then what about praying without ceasing or not doing what the bible commands us to do (attend church regularly, study to show ourselves approved unto God, preaching the gospel to every creature)? I could go on and on, but you’d be a fool to say you’ve arrived and are sinless for an extreme length of time in this flesh. I’m sure some zealous people have probably gone a good bit without sinning sometimes, but we all fall short and it’s more likely we’re sinning even if not majorly every day.
