Well—that’s me on the road to recovery. After infective endocarditis, a small clot, and some struggles with my kidneys and lungs, I’m now four days out of surgery. I’ve had my aortic valve replaced, I’m still hooked up to plenty of wires and drips, but I’m through the worst.

Really enjoying the BBC's adaptation of #TheOtherBennetSister. I loved the novel and i'm loving the new series. So good to see Jane Austen inspired dramas back on the BBC schedules.

So disappointing. The heroine does not speak, look or act like a flapper aristocrat. Accent is so wrong. Grammar wrong, hair and makeup wrong. How hard can it be????
