To the morons in my replies: yes I've read past the third book. I'm trying to discuss it in a way that doesn't spoil anything for the people who have gotten excited about Dune after the stellar trailer for Villeneuve's Part Three.

I think something that's not getting discussed about Dune is how heartbreaking Arrakis is. The Fremen stockpile water for the terraforming project but they will never be allowed to complete it: water kills the sandworm, which makes the spice which makes space travel possible.

I dislike the implementation. The “design” is actually the ancient coin, not the design itself. It indicates a lack of vision in bringing the past forward, and shows only that the past is seen as an archeological curiosity to be “remembered.”

I get it that Dune is set on a sand planet, but why does Greece have to also looks all teal and brown? My theory is that Nolan is color blind. Nobody ever tested this
