Last weekend, we hosted the first of our SynBio Collective workshops!🥼 We aim to allow McGill students to discover synthetic biology research outside of their classes. Thank you to @McGill_Eng, @McGillSBMS, @THebertMcGill, and @LisaMunter2 for making this initiative possible!

One more step towards expanding the terpenoid kingdom. Our paper on synthesis of C16 terpenoids is finally out in @NatureComms and it can be found here rdcu.be/cUS4J. Many thanks to everyone involved.

Our latest research has just been published today in the journal Nature. We engineered yeast to produce the cancer therapeutic vinblastine. You can find the work here: nature.com/articles/s4158…. It is the longest biosynthetic pathway ever refactored into yeast.
