@JEverettLearned If thumb pulling really DOES work, won't it cause you to have an overbite? I don't see this being useful unless you also pull the lower jaw to match, in order to keep your bite aligned. It seems like keeping the correct alignment would be a challenge.

@_danielraymond @joeyyochheim I didn't even know there was a competition until I learned that I had beaten Bryan. That was all of 2023. I tested only at my WORST all of 2024, so now I'm ranked quite low. But I really don't care. I've lost all faith in the validity of this particular competition anyway.

Absolute silliness. Fertility, yes. Testosterone, no. Chronic heat may certainly have an effect on fertility, but acute heat or cold isn't going to do jack to your testosterone. I say this because I sauna *daily* and my testosterone doesn't budge out of the mid-900s. My fertility is likely affected, but a) I'm not actively trying to conceive and b) sperm get reproduced frequently. If i were trying to conceive, I'd take a long break from saunas. Ball icing is dumb because that short term heat or cold will do NOTHING to affect your T. IF your T is low, your body temp likely has nothing to do with it. And finally, ask yourself, do men in the tropics have lower testosterone than men living nearer to the north or south poles? They do not.

I can 100% relate to this! But thanks to Claude Code's *new* remote control, I'm not chained to my desk anymore! Via the Claude AI app, I can now mirror my desktop terminal code session right on my phone. So now I can be directing Claude Code while grocery shopping, sitting in church, sitting on the toilet, taking a shower, or having dinner with friends! My AI coding obsession now takes NO breaks! 🤪

AI psychosis of 10x programmers. It used to be the case that you had to sit down, think really hard and write code. You could get into a certain kind of flow. Some of us even got addicted to it. Those of us are called 10x developers. This is not the case anymore. During the past few months AI developer tooling got so good that it unlocked 100x, 1000x and even larger productivity gains, but the flow has changed. You aren't sitting anymore and keep doing the work. Instead you sit down, check on the progress of the agents you're running, adjust direction, brainstorm new ideas, start new agents, and then you move onto something else, like making a coffee, walk your dog or twite a long as twitter post nobody's gonna read to the end. But while you're doing those other things, you're still thinking about your agents. You're worrying if one of them stopped to ask clarifying questions and you're not there to answer and put them into productive work again. You're worrying that one of them went on a dead end rampage and eats up your tokens. You're thinking about the next task you should give to your agents after they finished their previous tasks. You're dreaming about better prompts, better directions, better concepts. You wake up the middle of the night to check on your agents. You're anxious. You need to babysit them. You need to make sure they're doing productive work. All the time. Your circadian rhythm is a mess, you're behind on other things, you don't want to talk to other people, because you need all the brain capacity you have to direct your little minions. You are... oh wait, one of my agents stopped.. Got to check on it... Where were we? I don't know, I got to figure out where I was going with the... wait, it stopped again.. Ok I'm back. This is the fucking problem. Context switching. The new flow is a context switching nightmare... and I gotta check on it again. Getting annoying isn't it? Even just by reading this. Imagine writing this. That's the new 10x developer flow. I remember hearing about pre AI era studies that an average developer getting interrupted is the single worst thing you can do for their productivity. Something like the dev needs 10 minutes to pick up the work where he left off before you asked him what he wants for lunch. But this is now the norm. What we're doing is learning how to switch context rapidly. Not only between real life and your agents, but between your agents as well. One might be doing a cryptographic optimization while the other is making your UI nicer. I see developers proudly proclaiming the impossible things they have just done, while sleeping very little and eating like shit. Pizza and energy drinks works only in your twenties. After that you need a new strategy, a more balanced one. And right now we're all drunk on our ever growing powers, doing stuff we've never even dreamt we ever could. All this comes at a price: you.

I lost one cat to cancer. Nearly lost another to diabetes. My purebred lab was constantly sick with allergies and infections. All three were eating "premium" pet food recommended by vets. Here's everything I wish I'd learned sooner: 1. Feed them a clean, low-carb diet. Our diabetic cat used to be addicted to high-carb treats and food, the stuff sold in most pet stores. It’s the pet version living on Pop-Tarts and Twinkies for us. After switching to a low-carb, high-protein diet, she no longer needed insulin and lived a long, healthy life. A raw carnivore diet from clean sources free of pesticides and antibiotics is arguably best for both cats and dogs. 2. Only feed them two meals per day. We made the mistake of leaving food out for our cats all day. I’m sure our younger cat (that died of cancer) was metabolically damaged from this. Neutering him too early also negatively affected his health, as he developed a pot belly soon after. Time-restricted eating benefits humans and animals alike. So, aim for an 8-hour feeding window or less. Don't feed them 3 hours before bed or 1 hour after waking, then gradually shrink the window. You'll notice more energy in yourself and healthier weight and digestion in your pets. 3. Only give them pure, clean water. We gave our cats tap water for years. While chlorine dissipates quickly, chemical residues, heavy metals, and hormones remain. Reverse osmosis or spring water proved to be the best. You can remineralize RO water with products like this: (ad) lvnta.com/lv_jVBqYoIfQRq… 4. Detoxify Pets are exposed to more toxins than we are. Their food is loaded with pesticides, antibiotics, and heavy metals. Artificial fragrances, chemical cleaners, and lawn pesticides add even more toxic stress. Like I emphasize in my book, “Ultimate Health,” constipation is the first thing to address in detoxification. The same goes for pets. If their bowel movements are strained, this needs to be improved. Increasing their hydration and fiber intake can help, as can fish oil and probiotics. For deeper detox, use modified citrus pectin because it enters the bloodstream rather than just the gut. Mix into tuna juice, bone broth, or their water dish away from food. 5. Treat your pets for parasites Parasites are strongly correlated to many diseases, including cancer. There's a great book called "The Cure For All Diseases" that covers this in detail (free PDFs online). Fenbendazole is a popular anti-parasitic that’s routinely helped human cancer patients survive. Fenben is also an over-the-counter pet medication. I wish I’d learned of it before Max passed away from cancer. He was such a loving little guy. For ongoing parasite management, consider mixing diatomaceous earth into your pet’s food. 6. Exercise more Dog walks benefit both of you, especially without your phone. Fetch or tug is their high-intensity interval training. *Side note for cat owners: What's your favorite way to get your furry friend moving? Drop a comment below, I'm interested in trying them out. 7. Give them more affection Affection releases oxytocin in both you and your pet. It improves sleep, mood, stress, pain, and muscle repair. I wish I had known years ago how damaging artificial LED lighting is for humans and pets. Natural sunlight and incandescent bulbs keep you both healthy. Follow @DrJackKruse if you want to learn more about this. 9. Watch the sunrise every morning with your pet. Dr. Kruse talks about this constantly. Sunrise has red and infrared wavelengths that heal the brain, eyes, skin, and hormones. Do it for a week, and you'll definitely feel the difference. 10. Remember: what's good for them is usually good for you too. We're mammals. They're mammals. The fundamentals are remarkably similar. Discipline matters. Knowledge matters. Mouse study, but the implications are very interesting. The muscles of the exercised mice looked 8 weeks younger, or 10% of their lifespan. We don’t know if this will translate, but what we do know, is subsistence populations do not slow down, or get sarcopenia. Keep moving!

No matter how old you are, soon you’ll look like you’re 20-25. Below is proof that we’re making progress toward it. Scientists at NYU School of Medicine have uncovered a key cause of aging skin, and how to reverse it, at least in mice. They discovered that capillary associated macrophages (CAMs), immune cells that maintain tiny blood vessels, decline with age, leading to poorer blood flow and slower healing. Using live imaging and genetic tools, researchers watched this happen in real time, showing how microvascular repair falters as macrophages vanish. Then came the breakthrough, a short growth factor treatment (CSF1–Fc) boosted macrophage renewal, restoring microvascular repair and blood flow in aged skin. ! Human samples revealed the same age linked macrophage loss, hinting that a similar rejuvenation might work in people. In short - aging skin may be partially reversible, not by stretching or resurfacing it, but by repopulating its microscopic immune vascular network.

Scientists developed swarming microrobots that can swim through blood to hunt down and destroy cancer cells Scientists have created tiny magnetic microrobots that can swim through the bloodstream, deliver drugs directly to tumors, and be tracked live inside the body. Each microrobot is built from an iron platinum magnetic core wrapped in a smart, drug holding shell that dissolves only in acidic environments, like cancer tissue. Bowhead whales live 200+ years with low cancer risk. A new study discovered that it might have to do with their powerful DNA repair abilities. Most animals prevent cancer by detecting DNA damage and killing the cell (apoptosis) or stopping its growth (senescence). Bowhead whales don't kill the damaged cells; instead, they repair them before mutations occur. In the study, scientists put one of the key repair proteins called CIRBP into human cells, and their DNA repair improved, and fewer mutations occurred after DNA damage.
