I think both. He’s a good actor BECAUSE he knows how to internalize a character and bring his lived experience to it. As an actor myself, I can say that playing a character similar to you doesn’t equal a good performance. You need talent to bring the words/moments to life.

@taydaughterx I don’t know if Noah Schnapp is just that good of an actor, or if he’s completely internalized the character of Will Byers. Because sometimes I see scenes where, just through his expressions, I can feel the pain and disappointment in his eyes.
