spending my public holiday getting angry at how car-dominated the mini Melbourne at LEGO Land is. Needs more bikes and trams

For the next few days the @NASA Osiris APEX spacecraft is hidden behind our very noisy Sun during solar conjunction. Although predicted well in advance, it's always a concern for missions who have no way of checking the health of their spacecraft or intervening if things go wrong

@joshgans Josh - I think your CoreEconomics site is compromised, just got a very odd post about selective schools on the RSS…

@ChrisEconomist To the extent I’m a good writer it’s from Blair’s guidance. With a healthy dose of influence from your own beautiful writing in the Budget Outlook documents from Access as well!

Loved this! afr.com/policy/health-… In my day the public service seemingly demanded terrible writing So bad that, after I left, I tried to instil the rule that any work we did not only had to be right, it also HAD TO BE UNDERSTOOD If you're not understood, you've failed

Good day to be a tax and transfer modeller in Australia. More folks should get into the ‘industry’.

I don’t know what people were complaining about. The latest Indiana Jones movie was great.

@helvetica It’s a great update. But I wish there was a bit more information on how the score is calculated (ditto for other games except Spelltower).

Today we launched a major revamp of Wordbind on Puzzmo. I’m really proud of where we landed. It’s an anagram game without the bit where you have to excavate every single word, and with a variety of solution sets. Play here with a puzzmo subscription — puzzmo.com/play/wordbind/

The advantage of having #aphantasia is that I never have to say that “I can’t unsee” something. I literally unsee things the second I stop looking at them. 💁‍♀️ The downside is that it makes remembering faces and the names that go along with them next to impossible. 🙃

@SnarkyPlatypus Glad I’m not the only one with that brain bug. Really feels like they could have taken the pattern one more step…
