This week, National Children’s Laureate, @frankcottrell_b, hosted the “Right to Read" summit where he recommended urgent course of action to policymakers that will help ensure that the 'life-changing benefits of children's reading are taken seriously’. #righttoread #sharedreading

This afternoon we were thrilled to be visited by @rachelreevesmp, Chancellor of the Exchequer and our local MP. It was wonderful to be able to chat about all that we do to support families, and to show a Family Cookery Club in action.

Our volunteers are an essential part of what we do; we couldn't run our groups without them! Katie helps out with one of our wellbeing groups where she supports children through crafts and activities designed to help develop emotional regulation and literacy.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. Did you know that physical activity is great for your mental health? One of the ways we love to do that is through Builder Buddies! Whatever we’re building, we love to get active through lots of fun challenges #mentalhealthawarenessweek

We have loved making a variety of recipes with our families at cookery clubs this term! Favourites have been our homemade pizza, spinach, sweetcorn and chicken pasta bake, spaghetti Bolognese and rainbow fruit skewers. Well done to our amazing chefs!

Today is International Lego Day! We love using Lego therapy in our activity-based mentoring groups. Why? Because it builds on key skills such as creativity, teamwork, communication and resilience, and of course it’s really good fun! #internationallegoday
