Different duelist identities
“Hard entry” - think of jawgemo on raze. Full send playstyle, sometimes for selfish kills sometimes for the team.
“Team oriented hard entry” - think of Asuna back in the day, a little more focus on trying to have a method to the madness and moreso focused on creating space and chaos rather than setting themselves up
“The aim dueler” - think of yay, cryo etc. playing agents like Jett Reyna chamber or iso. Just walking around looking for hard contacts, not looking to dive. The value is in the ability to win basically any duel they find not necessarily entry success and the teams build around that.
“The intuitive based duelist” - these duelists are purely operating on intuition and at any moment will go off script to make a play. Think of canezerra or even Timotino when he’s not in a structured scenario. It’s important to allow these guys freedom because they find success in the chaos just reading the game in the moment.
“System duelist” - the system duelist happens when a team has a very strong read on the game and forces the duelist to work around what the team wants not the other way around. Think of Icy when on G2
There’s a ton of nuance to this especially when you consider how each teams structure impacts the duelist player, but I think everyone understands the difference in duelist player skillsets so next time you see a team cross over a duelist player into a different identity and they lose hopefully you can understand a bit more as to why.

VALORANT@VALORANT
Breeze is BACK! Here’s what's changing around the map.

@ValorantUpdated A map that almost every body hates and has no idea how to play gives the most equal fighting ground one will ever get.
