You cannot leave Ife and go and create dominion in Benin if you are not an imperialist. This is why this kind of rhetoric must be challenged. Ibadan was also a republican empire. When I raised the alarm that there was an intention to erase the real history of the Oyo empire for what it is, some people thought I was overstating facts. Here you have it. This is social engineering at its peak. They want to make a martial race to turn to a race of weaklings in order to suit their docile narratives. No Calvary in West Africa was as great as the Oyo empire.

Arewa influencers are part of whatever challenges facing the North, honestly speaking. Most be focusing on the most irrelevant things and busy playing political defense instead of steadily calling out the leaders who represent the regions or constituencies where these never-ending crisis take place. This morning, I watched on one of the social media platforms a lady from the SE who came for NYSC in Oyo state. She praised Yoruba people, commented on how she loved the atmosphere and brown roofs of ibadan, how she loved the respectful Yoruba tradition, she commented on how Yorubas love to speak their language and how amala and ewedu have become her favourite food Since morning, her people have been cursing and insulting her. Calling her a betrayer and a greedy person 😅
