Added 3 new characters based on our new “Fizz” style which is a fun, color smashing style. Meet “Pop” in this mini comic format. Update the skill to 0.26+ and ask the skill to install and update all character packs. You can also create your own character using this style!

I've been inspired seeing all the uses of @illo_skill since launching last week. One thing I didn't anticipate was how many other use cases for the characters themselves out of the scenes. So I just added a new trick into 0.24: Character Cutout support! illo can now create transparent PNGs of your characters in poses with accessories for use downstream in videos and other composite needs. Here's a video using blot in @HeyGen Hyperframes created by @Miguel07Code ❤️ Update @illo_skill to 0.24 and run `/illo update all character packs` then you can include the words "character cutout" in your prompt.

One of the most interesting things in @ppressdev is the division of labor it implements where the agent orchestrates and the harness compiles. You let the model handle judgment and ambiguity, such as reading intent, working through messy docs, and dealing with edge cases. You let deterministic tooling handle the parts that need to be reliable, such as auth, pagination, rate limits, and error handling. The mix of the two is a pattern worth copying and one that I we will see more and more as agentic software matures. This is one of several lessons I took from Printing Press. The others are consumer-shaped interfaces, the long tail of APIs, and the feedback loop that improves the framework. I wrote about all of them in the article. Thanks @mvanhorn and @trevin for both PrintingPress and the knowledge you shared by open sourcing it.

Just added a new style for @illo_skill: FELT! It emulates a decoupage style with layered felt. All the grade school memories without the elmer's glue on your fingertips. This introduces 4 new characters: Pleat, Plume, Posey and Quill. Explore the new characters: illo-skill.com/?look=felt Run `/illo update all characters` to get all character packs, then add "use " in your prompt.

A lot of AI illustration tools can make one good image. The harder thing is making the 10th image still feel like it came from you. I create the `illo` skill which uses reference-locked character packs, so your illustrations can have a recurring character instead of a pile of unrelated generations. It has built-in QA and re-rolls new images to improve quality. Use one of 30 community characters, or build your own. illo-skill.com Some examples and details in thread:
