@imvelor

I notice things about business that bother me. Why do some companies win? Why do big ones fail? I’m figuring it out. Subscribe free on Substack. Link in bio.

I’ve been working on something for the last two weeks about why most startups fail while winners succeed. Using EV companies as the case study. Full analysis out Friday on Substack.

@waronweakness Don’t listen to this man. He’s self centered and doesn’t want yall to gain knowledge and upskill. He wants you to be dependent on dead end jobs while he spends 20 hours a day on claude doing what exactly? Learning. Typical gatekeeper. clown

I've started using Claude. It's great but I can see how someone can spend 20 hours a day on this thing and feel like they accomplished something when they've done nothing.

You’re already a genius in the making but first, learn how to sell yourself in confidence as if no one out there is better. If you’re not confident in your work, no one will believe in you. About your distribution skill, you don’t need a 100 people right now. You need 5-10 people that see value in you. they will start the traffic. I’m making an article on why start up fail. It’s not directly about coding. It’s an edge elon has among everyone else. not even great ceo’s know this. You can read it for free and inculcate the value for your work. I hope it helps you bring your dream to pass.

@BRICSinfo Calling for an end to war when you’re in the middle of a war is ridiculous. How about taking a break from bombing Ukraine so the others can listen to you.

Ai didn’t kill critical thinking. How people choose to use it decides the outcomes. Calculators didn’t end math. Google didn’t end memory so I think you’re worried about the wrong thing. If you can’t take your time to understand the output Ai gives you and analyze it by yourself then that’s not an AI problem. It’s a you problem.

I'm going to call this right now. We are going to have a large population with absolutely no critical thinking skills if they blindly trust AI for everything. We have all already seen it. They don't validate outputs. They don't really understand anything. They just ask questions, it looks good, and they go with it. There are going to be huge issues in every company as this continues over the years. The amount of technical debt and knowledge gaps are going to be insane. So much opportunity if you actually know what you're doing.

@CuriosityonX The last time humans took the initiative to stick together, they wanted to have a building that reaches the heavens but guess what God did.

A single ant has 250,000 neurons and a human brain has 86 billion. Imagine what we could achieve if put aside all the differences and worked together as one.

@daniel_dhawan What was the inflection point between year 1 and year 2? Was it product-market fit clarity, market timing, or did something fundamental change in your approach?

My first 6 years as a startup founder: - Started by building AI mobile apps at 20yo - Failed with 4+ startups - Ran out of money multiple times - Was rejected by Y Combinator 8 times - Had a $15k credit card debt - Got 200+ rejections from investors My last year as a startup founder: - Moved to SF - Launch Rork, AI mobile app builder, to make my year 1 self happy - Got into a16z speedrun and raised $3M+ - Scaled Rork to millions in ARR in under a year - Became the #1 AI mobile app builder in the world The average journey to a $1B company takes 10 years. I’m on year 7. Keep building.

@ollieforsyth How do you typically evaluate founder experience when the opportunity is exceptional but they’re a first-time founder? Seems like some of your best returns might come from the non-operator segment.

I’d love to angel invest in a handful of new startups this month. Ideally former operators but open to all. If you think I’d make a good addition to your cap table, reach out, DMs are always open! My value add to you: Distribution: Our media channel receives millions of monthly views which you automatically have access to! Power: A mighty powerful rolodex! 😍

Dozens of EV startups built better batteries, swapping stations, and charging networks. Tesla won because it made people want the future. Why do founders optimize for solving problems instead of creating desire?

Elon will always win whenever it comes to business, strategy and innovation. You’d wonder why most electric cars that started earlier with billions of dollars in investment failed woefully while Elon succeeded. He makes the impossible possible and the people love it.
