@Mohansinha MG Rd just doesnt emit the class it revelled in in the 60s and 70s. Today it is a pain to drive in and park, let alone frequent the fav haunts left there...it only ignites a painful realisation of what MG Rd was in its prime, especially in the evenings. Aw!

Loved this advertisement in a city paper. Visited the store as a ten-year-old. The care they took over their clientele was pure Parsi hospitality! So many memories of the days gone by. Dinshaw’s, Marzo-rin, Bata’s, Imperial Hosiery, the famous Meherhomji dentist twins and further down Manney’s bookstall. Nowadays, I avoid MG. Road at all costs, even if it’s just a drive through.

@Mohansinha MG Rd today is like what has become of Bollywood music - noise minus the aesthetics. Shrewsbury biscuits and bread from Kayani Bakery, Chhole Bhature at Mona Food, chai&nankatai from Naaz Restaurant..and lots more..Koi lautade mere beete hue din,woh mere pyare palchhin...

@PatrioticSoul33 Maybe you should brush up on the developments in the media. You probably don't know it is streaming on Netflix and there is ostensibly no way age barriers can be enforced.

Once again, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is facing questions about his age. At the Naman Awards, Harsha Bhogle asked him about his favorite movie. Vaibhav quickly answered Dhurandhar. However, the Central Board of Film Certification has rated this movie for people aged 18 and above. Since Vaibhav is only 14, it raised a question : how did he watch it?

@libran0101 @NadodiMannanYt @sgurumurthy It's not that they don't understand. The boots on your foot It's about an Indian dynast family soaked in corrupt practice, paying an cringeworthy Pakistani who mocked our valiant soldier. It doesn't matter if it is the IPL or Hundred. hope you understand.

@Mohansinha @nitingokhale @RMantri The question is natural to ask - if indeed there is God in the heavens how is it ok for men like Manohar Parrikar to leave their earthly being so earlywhile venomous anti -society goons manage to live till thy kingdom come, doing untold damage to the country's soul and existance

India was blessed to have leaders like Manohar Parrikar. I remember a picture of his that appeared in a Pune newspaper. He was in a queue at a wedding reception to greet the couple. No one recognised him until the photographer spotted him and informed the hosts. Even then, he refused to break the queue till the family pleaded with him to come inside. He said later that he was looking to have a bite, make a quick getaway and take the bus back to Panjim!

This day seven years ago, India lost Manohar Parrikar. That night, barely holding back my tears, I wrote this tribute to my friend. Haven’t really got over his loss even after so many years. My personal grief apart, his passing was a greater loss to the country, I feel. Later, I got down to writing his biography. Read, if you haven’t already nitinagokhale.com/manohar-parrik…

Trump "shocked" that Iran struck Gulf countries. 😳 The President who started this war — Had no Plan B. ❌ Believed — drop big bombs for a week. 💣 Iran surrenders. Regime falls. Job done. ✅ Iran had other ideas — Plan B — Strike Gulf countries. 🎯 Plan C — Close Hormuz. 🛢️ Plan D — Target US industries. 🏭 Plan E — Mobilise Houthis in Yemen. 🇾🇪 US spent $11.3 Billion, Zero contingency planning. 💸 "Nobody expected" — Every analyst expected it. 📚 Every energy economist expected it. 🛢️ Every intelligence agency expected it. 🕵️ Except the one person who started the war. 😬🤔 #Trump #Iran #IranWar #ShivAroor

@venkat_fin9 Let's not forget - the BJP is as much responsible as earlier ruling Parties in prolonging the pain of GC. Like Rajiv Gandhi in the ShahBanoo case, Modi has snuffed out the SC's concerns about the growing malaise of reservations. And he wants us to be Viksit by 2047!

If reservation is the answer, why has 75 years of it not produced equality? Because it was never designed to produce equality. It was designed to produce vote banks. Equality would end it.

Is ODI cricket dying in Bangladesh, given that the stadiums were 80% empty for all three matches? Or do Bangladeshis just not see Pakistan as a big team anymore, so they prefer watching from home? What's the reason?🤔

@AjayJadeja171 Simple. Even Bangladeshis dont trust the Porkis to play even half as well as their players(and that's not saying much!) knowing the kind of losers they are. On the other hand, Bangladesh players are hard on the heels of Pakistan in playing dirty games. They will soon get there.

@Mohansinha @IndiGo6E Shameful that airlines charge a bomb for the shoddy, inefficient, discourteous and at most times negligent ways in which they fly. Extortionist fares with not even one tenth of the efficiency of trains. Civil aviation Min/DGCA seem blissfully ignorant of passenger convenience.

@IndiGo6E this is the mess you guys created at Pune airport with passengers who had cancelled their flights and those who were from cancelled flights waiting for hours to get their luggage. They were told to pick up their bags from Belt 3 but the security rightly refused to allow them in. So here we are at 12:45 pm still waiting for our bags to make an appearance.

@MinhazMerchant How absurd that a Rs500 bribe case can drag for infinity till the accused is almost a wreck while a Rs5000 cr cash sashay in a HighCourt judges house is not even investigated, let alone suspect charged& convicted. It is time someone writes a book, not a chapter on justice in India

Dear #CJISuryaKant, the Supreme Court needs to put its house in order on reducing pending cases (as this news clip points out, 36 years for Rs 500) rather than punish #NCERT for pointing out corruption in the judiciary which is undeniable. Please support #NJAC & end the Collegium

@MakrandParanspe First came the Congress with its pernicious social justice, obviously with an eye on power, then the Janata Party, then the NDA - with more of the same in the garb of social justice. In the process the middle class became the victim of "social injustice"&the BJP is as much guilty
