@TicTak009 2) I’m not sure if you’ve finished yet, but for much of the book Amara views joining the Circle as being subservient to the Sultana. She’s experienced a great deal of hardship in subservience to others, and is extremely reluctant to be in that position again.

2) If Amara wants safety (reason to marry Ihsan)… why not just join the circle of Harra? That seems like a quick and easy solution for her… Sorry if spelling errors (been listening on Audible) Love the series!!!!

@jdevansbooks so I have been listening to Mages of the Wheel series and I am on Siren & Scion (also listened to prequel). The series is awesome! 2 questions that have confused me: 1) I thought Ihsan was discredited as a bastard? Why is Amara thinking he’s still 2nd to throne?

@TicTak009 So glad you’re enjoying the series! So 1) he’s still a prince, (the council ruled his heirs could stay in line for the throne IF he married a noble) in her mind marrying him would make her a princess and give her the protection of status and the palace. Status/safety is her goal
