@jeffMLBdraft I'm sure there were clubs that didn't know what to make of that sort of prodigy from a maturity standpoint. Not many historical precedents of that sort and some of them weren't favorable.

Despite the stats & fame & money, Harper is star-crossed. So rubbed club vets the wrong way in youth that 1 of them… Original club Nats won WS…in 1st year w/o him. ‘22 PHI team lost WS from up 2-1. ‘23 PHI team blew 3-2 NLCS lead to ARI in PHI. This WBC & its finale even.

Friendly reminder that Bryce Harper dropped out of High School at 16, transferred to a JuCo, and got drafted at 17. He came into pro baseball as the most-hyped prospect of all time with insane expectations. He surpassed the expectations 💯

Tim Herrin has looked REALLY good this spring stuff wise. Fastball command looks sharper. Breaking ball is landing for strikes. Big for Cleveland to get 2024 Herrin back in this pen.
Also Peyton Pallette is looking like another Rule 5 draft gem.
