First off apologies to my community for the last few days. The tremendous support is beautiful. Lot has been going on behind the scenes. I can't elaborate any further. From now on I'll go radio silent and watch what happens next. It is out of my hands now

@Pirat_Nation I swear this was already happening for a long time. I brought my PS5 to a hotel before, but game app keeps shutting itself down after a few minutes when I'm offline as it's trying to keep validating license. I had to use mobile hotpot just to play a single player game.

Playstation has rolled out DRM on PS4/PS5 Digital games requiring online check-in every 30 days Newly purchased digital games now need to connect to PlayStation Network every 30 days to verify the license. If the console stays offline for more than 30 days, the game may stop working until an internet connection is made. Games you already owned before this change are not affected.

@SLupine6818 I always keep in mind there are just normal people like you who gets badly misrepresented by those lots. Any ideological "movement", be it trans, BLM, DEI, whatever, is never organic. In a perfect world, everyone is treated individually by their own merits.

@Skooma_Beast If it does, it's not anyone's fault for buying the game. They're the ones fragile enough to let themselves hurt by the mental gymnastics in their brain. Life would be much easier and happier for them if they promote happiness instead.

@_rawrell We need an aggregator or a curator of terrible localizers. Let it circulate all over X. Let Japanese devs know to avoid these types when trying to find localization partners. Those are good start.

Apparently the localization team is Dragonbaby. Their Head of Localization Sam Burton was also involved in Eiyuden Chronicle's localization, another infamously terrible one that completely butchered the characters' personalities and dialogue. That certainly explains a lot.

This has to be one of the worst "localizations" I've seen in a long time. In what world does it make sense to translate "Yamero" as "END FASCISM"? It's a shame, I was looking forward to Yunyun Syndrome but these parasites vandalized it beyond recognition.

@autopilotgod Japanese staff you can contact regarding localization: @fuyuki216 @infowss Email: support@alliance-arts.co.jp If you love the game but not happy with the translation, let them know politely. Publishing Steam reviews like that also helps tremedously for visibility.

@zeeto139 @ChibiReviews That's the thing. Many JP devs are hands off and trust the localization team to do their job. If the userbase aren't proactive in making contact directly at the source, they won't know something's wrong. Never send complaints to the English branch because they will get filtered.

@krfuffl @ChibiReviews People have been complaining since demo and they actually changed some things right before release. Maybe dev/publisher just fully trust the localiser since they have worked together in the past and there weren’t any issue with it

@GiveMeBanHammer Japan needs to know that Californians are ideological kool-aid heaviest drinkers. It sucks because logistically they believe it makes the most sense to do business there, from building a branch office, localization companies, and so on, but at what cost.

-Californians control Japanese Games Company -Kicks out Shuhei Yoshida because he dared to defy them and their "vision" for Sony Interactive Entertainment -replaces Shuhei Yoshida with Hermen Hulst -same Hermen Hulst who supported the gutting of Sony Japan Studios -fast forward now, SIE flounders from their Live Service obsessions and Yoshida was proven right There's no perfect bad optics than one crafted by reality sometimes. Reminder that moving to California is doom.

Shuhei Yoshida says he was fired from being head of PlayStation first-party by Jim Ryan because he didn’t listen to him! “I helped Santa Monica to make God of War, Naughty Dog to make Uncharted and The Last of Us, and Sucker Punch to make the beautiful Ghost of Tsushima. Ghost of Tsushima was one of the last games that I worked on as the president of Worldwide Studios. But in 2019, after 11 years leading the first-party development, I was fired from the role. Jim Ryan wanted to remove me from first-party because I didn’t listen to him. He asked to do some ridiculous things, and I said ‘No.'” thisweekinvideogames.com/news/shuhei-yo…

@Seren_Eros These selective performative outrage retards are giving bad names to the trans who don't want any of these. They just want to fit in and live their life. Many of them DO want to play the game, because it's inclusive and it makes people happy. These flags-in-bio scum are tiresome.

We didn’t tolerate the harassment last time, we’re doubling down this time. The mob lost the moral high ground when they sent death threats to innocent gamers and put them on a list. Why allow such hateful, hypocritical people to tell you what you can and cannot do with your hard earned money? Anyone who tries to control you is not your fan and certainly not your friend.

@GiveMeBanHammer Way too many retarded NPCs let ideology override reality and common sense. They skip a perfectly good game that could make their life brighter even for just a few weeks, choosing performative outrage and social brownie points instead, for someone who actually wish them well.

@GiveMeBanHammer The irony in these retards... They promote real bullying and harassment against anyone playing Hogwarts Legacy, a game that makes millions happier. The game's even catered to them with inclusive characters. They deserve the pain of reliving those mental gymnastic days again.

@politicalawake They have a choice to get out of the country. Japan have been accomodating enough with prodiving them prayer rooms everywhere and they still continue being nuisance. Japan needs to outlaw public prayer immediately. They can't afford to have suicidal empathy like the West.

@qsfkbwIhuWLhnjI When will people realize Islam is just a cult masquerading as a proper religion? Everywhere they migrate to, they march on the streets or pray in public en masse in the name of Allah/Muhammad to the annoyance of the original residents. It's not not sane human behavior.

@isfjcutebear As a foreigner, it's imperative that Japan stays Japanese. It's exhausting already seeing western powers pushing for globalization in art and media, they don't need leeching immigrants that wants to subvert Japanese culture.

@yoyonofukuoka Tipping culture is fundamentally flawed. In the US it got to the point now where servers in some restaurants and food service places are tip-motivated, treating customers with prejudice. Japan treating every customer equally is perfect, don't let tipping become part of the norm.

I’m Japanese. Lately, I’ve seen some foreign visitors who were impressed by Japanese hospitality saying that Japan should introduce a tipping system. However, I strongly disagree. The reason is that actions which have so far been driven purely by a sincere sense of duty and genuine kindness toward customers would be distorted by a new dynamic, throwing off the current balance. In other words, what used to be the goal—providing good service—would turn into a means to earn an incentive. As a result, the overall quality of service in Japan would likely decline. If you’re truly impressed by a staff member’s service, instead of giving them a tip, please tell the manager or owner, “That employee’s service was outstanding.” We simply want you, our guests who come to Japan for fun, to enjoy yourselves—that’s all.
