Divorce trades your child’s happiness for your own. If you are having marital issues, do the hard thing and work them out. Don’t give up. That’s the whole point of marriage and commitment, to not throw in the towel when things get hard. Especially with children involved.

@naurpillled Why would a healthy second time mom be put on pitocin in the first place?

once you’ve watched a healthy second time mom with no previous surgeries have a total uterine rupture & a brain dead baby at birth from being put on high level pitocin, it really opens your eyes to the amount of grooming that has to happen to have people with views like this.
Prufrock@Yulscakes

@Primal_Birth @wrowclif No one calls it “obstetrical violence and sexual assault” unless a crunchy grifter primed them. Postpartum is long, painful and grueling for everyone. PPD/PPA are common complications. Stop lying to women about the reality of childbirth, and they might process the trauma better.

@lowerlightburn @darthcaro But you're debating a point I didn't make. No one is disputing that you and millions of others chose to prioritize having children or that doing so isn't a perfectly legitimate choice.

You know what’s also dangerous? Taking a risk by prioritizing your career and putting off marriage and children to possibly not be able to have any when you’re older. Everything in life is a gamble. We dumb housewives consider this and choose to prioritize different things than you.
Kam@PatsKam

This shouldn’t be glorified. If something happens to her husband, she’s screwed. She will have to start from scratch. I learned from my mother, that having your own education and your own income is SO important. Relying on your partner can be dangerous. 😩

@JPBillingsgate @darthcaro Many of us who got married young did so because of those theoretical children. It’s just a difference of priorities and if you don’t prioritize children, you really just won’t understand it.

@wrowclif One thing that would be interesting to have actual data on is how far along all of those stillborn pregnancies were. There were no d&c or pills to help a miscarried baby pass sooner. So it stands to reason that some of what counted as stillborn then, would be miscarried now.

@alleycat0592 I had some pretty significant pelvic floor issues after my epidural births that I avoided after my non epidural ones and I think it’s bc I was able to push more efficiently! I don’t care what women choose but there is some* benefit

I’ve had it both ways and I never realized how much of the difficulty in recovery is due to epidural I stood up and walked soon as baby was out last time. Feels way better than bed rotting and shaking when you stand Plus more controlled pushing

After going through childbirth again I can once again confirm that epidurals are a miracle that instantly transform a very traumatic experience into a calm and peaceful one and it’s such a better way to meet your baby, there’s no purpose to the pain, you’re just having a worse time for no reason

@Hestia_Esq I regret getting my degree. Waste of my time. I’ll never get the time back. Hoping it makes sense why I felt I needed to someday.

The other day a salesman came to the house and was super pushy and finally I said, “I’m just a girl and these are man problems.” They didn’t know what to say after that
Melanie@MelanieSent

I am so sick of having to man handle every single person during this home buying process bc my husband is working during the times they contact us & I want to go back to being a feminine fairy I am sick of needing to use my brain & play 4d chess because they are always pushing me

The main point of Judges is every man did that which right in his own eyes, and they were prone to apostasy. God never demanded a human sacrifice. Even though Kephthah made a vow and you were supposed to keep them, his vow wasn’t valid because nothing in the old covenant law allowed for sacrificing your kids to God. But again, he did what he did because everyone did what was right in their own eyes. I love judges because it reminds me of the days we live in today. We’re no different. Even more fascinating is later on in 2 Samuel and 1 Kings, when you read about Jeroboam the son of Nebat, the first king of split Israel, who created a new religion and ordained the lowest of the people as ministers and clergy, which became the foundation for the northern kingdom to evacuate disappear. Thank you for doing this. You’re kind of inspiring me go join you. Not sure I can do it in 10 days… too many responsibilities…. Keep it up!!! 🙏🏽

Day 4 of attempting to read through the Bible in 10 days, and I’m picking up at Judges 12. (I spent too much time on X last night 🫣) I’d love to hear y’alls thoughts on Jephthah and his daughter in Judges 11. That whole situation always haunted me as a kid.

This is an underrated fact about parenting. People with kids who sleep truly do not get it. It’s like having severe nausea for the entire pregnancy. It is not the same experience.
kimberley@kimbxwilson

As a parent of a child who slept amazing as a baby and a baby who is the worst sleeper on earth I can tell you now that if you have a baby who does not sleep you are having a completely different parenting experience. My 2nd has literally solidified I will not have anymore kids.

@Katherine111594 Yes. It’s a tolerance thing. I also think age of first time mom really makes a difference. It’ll be easier at 20 than 28

I feel like all my kids were good sleepers. I had multiple that woke every two hours until they started solids. I had one with colic. I think the sleep debate is more about mom’s capacity than the actual baby.

I'm living the opposite of the meme. I lift for the bros to go "Hey man looking good nice work" and a bunch of women instead go "Is that a hospital receiving blanket?"
