@RFenell There was no scientific studies done on thalidomide in pregnancy, it was already approved for other uses and the laws at the time meant it could be marketed to anyone. That's why the laws changed after the thalidomide epidemic and drugs had to be proven safe in pregnancy.

@DerekMcLellan2 and if you read on a little further you would see that some people born with XXY have a Y chromosome lacking the SRY gene, meaning they are genetically female.
