@BBCGQT was recorded @UniofReading yesterday. I got to ask a question 🤩 - you can hear the episode on 12th April. @ReadingBioSci @RNGherb
The panel was @Botanygeek, @plantmadman & @JulietSargeant with @PeterGWeather in the chair. It's an amazing show seen live!

@BotanyKaren @BotanyRNG While emailing last week, Alastair wrote that there are so many great #BotanyBooks to suggest, that we could resume this for #AdventBotany in future years, with a broader group of contributors. It would be wonderful if you might consider sharing some of your faves 📚.

Another week, another advance in the #herbarium move. #Linnaeus and #HerbariumBarbie have just finished moving Brassicaceae (Cruciferae) and Linnaeus is explaining that nine families each have two current family names. Do you know the nine?

In Lewes today - some very nicely framed seaweed by Peta King. These would look good in @RNGherb! Sadly a bit beyond the herbarium budget 🛒

@mygreenstudy back in action @ReadingBioSci. Today we were potting up houseplants. Over the next three weeks our planty students will live with these and report on their well-being.

Gynura aurantiaca is known as purple passion due to the colourful hairs. Lovely in leaf, a bit whiffy in flower. It's a fun #houseplant and very tactile but needs good light and regular trimming back. #Asteraceae #mygreenstudy @mrjmagson
