@upstatefederlst They raise their price to $45 to undercut those that imported and make larger profits for their shareholders while consumers still pay a higher cost.

@jonwu_ @ravmike @AshleyStanhope Great thread . My only addition is on pitch crafting. When writing a good pitch look at it from the journalist view. Think about their goals, how can your news/story help them accomplish clicks, time on site, etc. Like any partner your journalist has goals and metrics too.

@jonwu_ @fortyiq @AshleyStanhope Generally agree with this. Just one critique, you can easily get a pr firm for 10-15k sometimes even as little as 5k per month. 50k is a lot for a pr retainer. I really hope there aren’t startups paying this much for PR.
