Some weeks ago, I was in one of the South-South states where I went to inspect a landed property already acquired. The land after mine had a half walled fence, but I noticed this fence was deliberately extended into my own land. When I asked the sellers why it happened like that, they said "Oga abeg we go compensate you. We no want problem. The man wey get this land wey them fence, na officer and he get connection." I became interested. So i crossed over into the fenced area. The sign "MILITARY ZONE! KEEP OFF!" was placed on a steel fabricated sign post at the entrance of the land. I took pictures of the fence, the signboard, and told the sellers to repeat what they said about the buyer of the land, while I made a video of them for evidence purposes. I went to the police station to make an entry, and then proceeded to the military base close by. I went to the MP's office to make my report. The following day, I went with some "brothers in arm" to the place, but the man didn't show up. I used that opportunity to get more information on the said person, and it was discovered that he has been grabbing people's lands also, but in bits... (He would buy a plot, and when fencing, he'll extend the fence into another person's land.) After the Intel, I had my men bring down the part of his fence that crossed into my property, then they pulled out the sign post and took it with them to the barracks where it was handed over to the MPs. On the third day, I heard he was causing a scene and stopping workers from accessing their sites, because someone had dared him (me). I was called and told not to come over by the people whom I bought the land from. So I went with my men, but they stayed out of sight. Upon getting there, I saw this military Hilux, then a huge guy, clean shaved, low haircut with sharp linings, a beautifully and carefully trimmed mustache. Omo, at first I thought he was my far superior so I zeroed it and prepared for the worst. I wasn't in my uniform and even the "landlords" believed me to be a civil servant. I knew if I had to approach him, I would have to identify myself, so I went towards where he was standing and greeted him. Me: Good morning sir. Baba sized me from head to toe and scoffed, while still 'waiting' for the "thief" who stole his signpost and destroyed his fence. Me: Sir, I'm greeting you. They said you were looking for the owner of this land that's why I'm here. Him: You're too small to afford this land, call me your father, cos I'm sure he owns this land. Me: With due respect sir, I own this land. Him: Oh! They didn't tell you who I am that's why you stole from me. Do you know who I am? Don't worry, I'll deal with you. Me: I'm sorry sir, may I know you? Him: (Faked laughter and looked around) All these small boys without respect. I'll teach you a very big lesson. Me: Sir you can do that after you identify yourself to me. The people around were already begging him to forgive me cos I'm a small boy and I don't know what I am doing. Me: Sir I'm waiting, respectfully. Him: Okay (brings out his ID card holder and pulls out his ID card). See it here, just look at it then I will deal with you. The people close by saw the logo of one of the 3 services and began shifting from the scene. Me: (I collected and observed the ID card) You're a bas+ard! (I screamed at him). My men heard it and drove in, people started running. This m@d man is a dangerously bl00dy civilian who happened to own a mess ID card. And he has used it to defraud so many people. I can't say all that happened, but he was taken to the barracks for questioning, how he got possession of the Hilux and the authenticity of the ID card. After which he was handed to the Civil Police for further investigations into his numerous crimes.

As the Presidential Villa plans to go off-grid next month following the N17 billion solarisation project, millions of Nigerians still live in darkness despite trillions of naira budgeted yearly to the Ministry of Power. We call on President @officialABAT to prioritise providing power supply for all. Nigerian citizens also deserve uninterrupted electricity, not just the presidency and the few at the top.

Major cheat code for life: Become brutally honest with yourself. About your habits. Your effort. Your excuses. Your blind spots. Self-honesty is uncomfortable, but it'll save you years of wasted time. You can’t fix what you keep lying about.

Nigeria breathes easier when we stand together. The violence tearing through our communities is not a genocide against Christians or Muslims, but a tragedy against humanity itself. Let’s refuse the fear, reject the division, and hold on to the harmony that has always carried us. United, we can face the real enemy: the insecurity threatening us all.

@Letter_to_Jack @TheoAbuAgada @Desire99531158 By your logic, it would appear that the FCT minister doesn’t have access to FCT land records and can’t tell which lands have been duly allocated, so he had to come to site to request for land documents?😂

@TheoAbuAgada @Desire99531158 The land being duly allocated is subject to verification. In the video, Wike was clearly asking for the documents. The minister cannot trespass if the land is subject to investigation.
