We are delighted to launch our new postgraduate series here @UCC: 'Organic Discussions'! This series will provide informal discussions, giving researchers exposure to new realms of synthetic chemistry while also improving their chemical fluency. 📅05/10/2022 📍 The Hub UCC

What a fantastic start to Organic Discussions for the year 2024/2025! Wonderful talks from Stephen, Geoffrey and Éabha covering a wide range of topics from liposome engineering, earth-abundant metals and the chemistry of colour! Our next session will take place on 28/11/2024!

Big thank you to @dJon_es for his wonderful talk on ‘Complexity generating dimerisation reactions’. It was a wonderful way to conclude Organic Discussions for 2023/2024! Thank you to all our speakers from the last year! Hopefully we’ll see some new and familiar faces next year!

Thanks to Dr JJ Keating for delivering a fascinating overview of drug metabolism today, which formally draws the 22/23 seminar series to a close. Over the duration of the 12 sessions, we heard from 24 speakers including postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers and faculty.
