A popular beliefs is that diagnostic imaging, in the absence of concerns of serious pathology, is reassuring. In such cases, the evidence does not support a reassuring effect. jamanetwork.com/journals/jamai…

Just as manual therapists need to accept there is little skill or specificity in their rubbing, poking, and cracking treatments for painful problems and that they often don’t outperform placebos… So exercise therapists also need to accept that there is little skill or specificity in their stretching, strengthening, and stabilising treatments and also little evidence they outperform placebos for reducing pain as well!

@FisioActual @JOSPT @davidhosch Gracias Ángel. La investigación debe hacer lo posible por incorporar aquellos elementos que sabemos influyen en los resultados clínicos. Las preferencias de los pacientes es uno de ellos.

▶️NEW PUBLICATION◀️ RCTs, often overlook patient preferences despite their impact on clinical outcomes. In our new @JOSPT Methods Commentary, we review key methodological adaptations to better integrate these factors into trials. @davidhosch jospt.org/doi/10.2519/jo…

Just published #BMJ paper: strong against all interventional procedures for spine pain (joint radio frequency ablation; epidural injections; intramuscular injections, etc.) useless & harmful but lucrative. How to stop clear: stop paying. But can it happen? bmj.com/content/388/bm…

@DrSethPT @AAOMPT I've been fortunate to learn from Mr. Laurie Hartman. More than techniques, his approach to the patient's body was invaluable to me. This is something overlooked in many modern programs led by Physio-Instagrammers and Osteo-TikTokers." #TrueMastery

If you’re going to do neck manipulation, this is how it’s done. Demo by Lauri Hartman from ⁦@AAOMPT⁩ two years ago clearly saying to keep amplitude small, mid-range.
