This is the kind of sleazy politics that turns people off entirely. @fordnation caught behind closed doors saying he will,“open up the #greenbelt”, then publicly saying he will “unequivocally not touch the greenbelt”, to now just opening doing it. It’s all around wrong. #onpoli

@TheFrankDomenic Yeah this doesn’t help-liberals are a capitalist party - no one believes the libs will merge with the NDP …parties don’t need to take your advice. Marit is incredible- and if we cared more about the good of Ontario more than we do about meaningless views then we’d support her.

Avi Lewis: "We have shoved Canada Post so far into the market mindset that every few months we have a national conversation about why isn't Canada Post making money. Does the ambulance service make money? Do the police services make money? We're talking about a fundamental public service."

Canada ranks 6th out of the G7 countries for per‑capita public broadcaster funding CBC gets $33.66 vs. versus G7 avg of $62.20 Pollara’s 2025 Trust in Media study: CBC 72% trusted CTV 67% Global 65% CBC's 🇨🇦 CRITICAL ROLE Educate & push back against disinformation
Raghu Venugopal MD@raghu_venugopal

Conservatives just voted to scrap CBC. It raises $2 billion and costs $1.4 billion. We are 41 million - it reaches 20 million - monthly. We spend less on it than the rest of the G7. It has the highest media trust score. While we defend Canada - Conservatives defund Canada.

@dadinthe6 @ArfinNathaniel It’s about time everyone looks to the Ontario NDP as the party to beat Ford. How many more elections do the liberals need to lose before we start seeing the NDP as the party to stop the bleeding and undo Fords disaster inflicted on #Ontario

@ArfinNathaniel Where are the Liberals? What is the process for selecting a new leader and where are we in it. Much as I loathe Doug, unless there's a viable alternative - we're stuck in this hellscape.

This is a note for @fordnation & @Metrolinx who are on year 15 of building a 19km track across Eglinton. Nearly 1km/year at this rate. Not counting the yrs the Cons reversed already started construction in the 90s. Do they want #Toronto to have transit at all?🤔#onpoli #topoli
George Bell@georgebell

Toronto, this 10km LRT line in Turkey took 5 years to build, and it doesn’t have any wires (there is a third rail, but it’s off when there is no train; so you can walk right across the tracks)…right along the waterfront. Seems like maybe we should do something like this along lakeshore east!
