Front page. “This is a perfect example of the kind of chaos Doug Ford creates”… Ford has no mandate to override our democratic rights. #onpoli

This isn't the first time Ford has ended the concept of majority rules. Same in Bill 39. Votes on bylaws can be forced, and can be passed with votes from one-third of members. corruptario.ca/why-your-mayor…

New from me: Bill 100 and its associated changes will deny millions of people a basic democratic right and create two separate and unequal classes of Ontarians. I'm not a fan. tvo.org/article/analys…

@ssolyom Sadly yes. He is the public-facing, gregarious, buffoon everyman who's good at pretending he's an average Joe - not the beneficiary of inherited wealth....fronting for an array of corporations + developers. It took a lot of $ + backroom deals to win the leadership over Elliot.

@CaptainDick12 @Michell64451873 A second year of teachers' college is a waste of time & money. A decade ago, there were too many unemployed teachers, so instead of cutting slots in teacher education by 50% & laying off staff, universities chose to concoct a 2-year program to keep their staff employed.

The day Heather Winterstein died in 2021, she came to ER by EMS. She was CTAS 2 - see in 15 min. There was no ER beds. She was put in the waiting room. She died there hours later. This is why Ontario hospital underfunding, hospital beds and ER beds matter cbc.ca/news/canada/ha…

@raghu_venugopal How is Ontario the only province to illegally fail to enact the Canada health act by restricting nurse practitioners? An essential part of primary care when Ontarians everywhere struggle to find a family doctor. Pushing privatization. Kara Ford making more $ than family doctors.

🌞Good morning Canada. The Trudeau "CSAM" Claim: What the Lawsuit Actually Says. Long read. Grab a coffee ☕️. A lawsuit is trending on X claiming Justin Trudeau accessed child pornography and the Toronto Star covered it up. Before this spreads further, here's what the filing actually contains. The plaintiff is Jeffrey Brown, an author who wrote a book about his personal connection to the Trudeau family. It is not clear that he's criminal lawyer. Some accounts are describing him as a former criminal lawyer. He alleges that in October 2021, a Toronto Star journalist told him, verbally, on a walk along a Toronto beach, that the RCMP had informed the Star that Trudeau was watching child pornography on his devices. That is the complete evidentiary basis. One conversation. On a beach. Four years ago. The filing itself contains no evidence that any allegation was reported to law enforcement, and it presents no documents, witnesses, or investigative findings, only Brown's account of conversations with a journalist. He is seeking $50,000, above the standard small claims ceiling of $35,000 in Ontario. The filing hit on April 8, the same day the Liberals received their fourth floor crossing. A majority government is within reach. Mario Zelaya, a well-documented amplifier of unverified anti-Liberal content, was among the first major accounts to spread it, with key facts already distorted. This is not the first time this playbook has run. In October 2019, days before a federal election, the Buffalo Chronicle, a website with a documented history of fabricating Canadian political stories, published unsigned articles claiming Trudeau had a sexual relationship with a student at West Point Grey Academy in 2001. The story spread to 25 million people. The Globe and Mail never published what the Buffalo Chronicle claimed it was "sitting on." Because there was nothing to publish. The former headmaster of the school put out a statement. Snopes debunked it. The election happened anyway, and the rumour had done its work in the information environment regardless. A $50,000 small claims filing built on a beach conversation is not journalism. It is not evidence. It is a mechanism for putting an allegation into circulation at a moment of maximum political impact, knowing it cannot be quickly disproved and will not be quickly dismissed by courts. Watch what gets amplified in the 72 hours since April 8th. That's the story. #cdnpoli

The Ottawa Hospital is cutting 400 jobs because of the @fordnation cuts to healthcare. Nothing not even frontline workers he supposedly cares about are safe from Ford's callous government. All this while Metrolinx has 124 VPs making over $250k. cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…
