I’m here in downtown Lancaster where a crowd of people came out to support the trans community for Trans Day of Visibility Organizers have told me it’s important to see and learn about trans people, especially after a bomb threat canceled a drag queen story hour last week

Has anyone here ever taken Ray Bradbury's advice and written a short story a week for a whole year? If so, how was the experience?

The only thing still left on the Taco Bell dollar menu is the cheesy roll up. What a sad reality we are in

@tnbaldwinauthor @AitchisonJoshua For sure. Especially people with depression, they feel like they aren’t good enough for human company. And isolation becomes self-perpetuating, I think. It gets harder to be around people the more you avoid it.

neurotypicals & able-bodied people live on another plane of existence. just get up! do yoga! .you’ll be cured! never mind that you’ve been burned out for 10 years from forcing yourself to do things, your body & brain fail you everyday, there’s no support, & the world is on fire🙂

it’s so stupid yet so amazing that the only cure for depression is to brute force your way through completing tasks even if it’s extremely hard and gives you no pleasure at all

@TiametW So you DO agree that you shouldn’t just been suddenly subjected to seeing something that terrifies you without warning?

I heard from a professor today that Harvard published a study saying trigger warnings shouldn’t be used because they’re “ineffective and cause anxiety.” I would really love everyone’s thoughts on this.

@romankurys How would you suggest gauging if you should read it or not if there isn’t something to tell you its contents ahead of time?

@pbcwrites They are ineffective, as far as I’m concerned. Story is a story…if it’s not for you, don’t read. But putting trigger warning everywhere is just silly. There’s something that triggers someone. How long does the list of warnings get?
