while i'm at it tonight, i'd like you to think about something that may seem unconventional/contrarian, or maybe a bit of a stretch, but, in actuality, is quite logical and evident. trump is an old man. he's made billions of dollars, has lived what many would consider an accomplished life. there's this misplaced notion--the one assuming he's electing to coast through his presidency and play golf without too much stress--that i find quite unconvincing. no, he's playing the game of "remember me in the history books." isn't it obvious? image is his god. it drives him: to be remembered as one of the greats, the greatest american president who expanded the american empire abroad and revitalized the american condition, domestically speaking. you don't get remembered unless you did things worthy of being remembered. venezuela, hormuz, cuba, greenland--these are all related, hormuz being the most consequential. if you want to reorganize us-china terms and conditions, the only way is through force, through leverage.

Thiccy put out tweet on this, but i want to reemphasize the situation in degen trading terms what trump has done here: Went on a generational run, survived an assignation attempt, won election against establishment, won popular vote, reorganized the political right/integrated with tech/Elon/etc, flawless execution of Venezuela raid, could add a few more things here. Think about some of the high leverage traders we've seen go on a big run. He did all of this only to take a highly levered trade with no stop loss and is going to blow his entire legacy. He has no off ramp.
