@LauraRbnsn I often feel it's the fact that the "sin" people claim to hate is often an inextricable part of the person's identity. It's part of who they are versus something they "do."

What do you think it is about the sentiment "love the sinner, hate the sin" that rings so hollow with people? Is it the failure for that kind of love to actually feel like love at all, or is it other people's comfort with calling other people sinners?
