As someone who has spent significant time in the US federal government and significant time in the venture capital/start-up world, I can attest that the private sector is vastly more efficient and high performance-based than the federal government. In the private sector, if your financials are not strong, your business dies. In the public sector, they ask "Financials? What are those?" I believe that distinction is the reason for the disparity in performance levels.

There was a point in time we thought the sound barrier was unbreakable. ------------------ Early Ideas and Myths Throughout history, many cultures had myths about objects or beings moving faster than sound. Some believed that exceeding sound speed would cause destruction or even be impossible. These myths reflected a fear of the unknown and the limits of human understanding. The Scientific Breakthroughs In the early 20th century, scientists began to understand the nature of sound and aerodynamics. Researchers studied how air moved around objects at high speeds, leading to the concept of the sound barrier. This barrier was thought to be a physical limit that aircraft could not surpass due to the intense aerodynamic forces involved. superavionics.com/the-history-of… ---------------- With our limited understanding of dynamics, physics and even quantum physics, we currently believe it is impossible to exceed the speed of light. Is it true? Perhaps, but perhaps not.

No, nothing can travel faster than the speed of light in vacuum. The end.

@Ghostofcynthia nothing is faster...than the speed...of light?... oh, contrair...and lets not...negate special relativity...and if you...are already inside...the observer...are you really traveling...at all?... also...to assume aliens...require planets to...exist...is rather naive...as well...

Using the Pentagon podium to lash out at journalists in extreme biblical terms is unprecedented, misguided, and frankly wrong on the substance. Ever since Sunday School Catholic classes, I have been well aware of the Scribes and the Pharisees. They were the bad guys against Jesus, the good guy… in current U.S. good v evil war parlance. Bearing witness to the truth is what we journalists are commanded to do, without fear nor favor. I am also well aware of the Ten Commandments, and therefore urge any government radical anywhere, to follow the 9th… against bearing false witness. And finally an observation: the current Secretary of War, f/k/a Defence, left the military with the rank of Major. I recall my dogtag in the first Gulf war had the rank of major... the very same rank. Just sayin’!

On February 28th, Trump started bombing Iran. No coalition. No allies. No plan. Today, 54 countries met in Paris to clean up his mess. Britain. France. Germany. Australia. Iraq. Indonesia. South Korea. Norway. Singapore. Over a billion people in the room. Not invited: the United States. Mine-clearing drones. Naval escorts. Warning systems. Adult things. Meanwhile Trump blockaded Iranian ports alone and called it victory. A man who can’t organize a cabinet. Can’t keep a room. Handed the most powerful military on earth. And still ended up eating alone 😂. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

The Atlantic published a "bombshell" on Director Patel tonight that every real DC reporter chased, couldn't verify, and passed on. Here's reality. Since being sworn in, Director Patel has taken a grand total of 17 days off — half as much time off as Comey and Wray — and he spends twice as much time in the office as either of them ever did. The so-called "intoxication incidents" The Atlantic breathlessly reports have happened exactly ZERO times. Under his tenure: 67,000 arrests nationwide. Violent crime arrests up 112%. Murder rate down 20%. 1,800 criminal gangs dismantled. 2,200+ kilos of fentanyl seized — enough to kill 178 million Americans. 300 human traffickers arrested. 6,200+ missing children recovered. 1,700 online predators arrested — a 490% increase. 8 of the Top Ten Most Wanted captured, double the previous four years combined. 1,000+ agents redeployed from DC bureaucracy back to field offices chasing criminals. The Atlantic's "reporting"? Fabricated stories about "breaching equipment" that was never requested. Intoxication claims with not a single witness willing to put their name on one. A paragraph — I'm not kidding — about the FBI Store not carrying "intimidating enough" merchandise. Every serious DC reporter passed on this. Sarah Fitzpatrick and Jeffrey Goldberg printed it anyway. Lawsuit is being filed.

Kash Patel’s colleagues are alarmed by what they describe as erratic behavior and excessive drinking—conduct that could cost him his job, Sarah Fitzpatrick reports. She spoke with more than two dozen people with knowledge of his conduct, some of whom described it as a national-security vulnerability. theatln.tc/2T74xHfh

Trump approves disaster aid for red states 89% of the time. For blue states? 23%. When your community is underwater or burning, whether you get federal help shouldn't depend on how your state voted. This is the most partisan abuse of disaster relief funding in the 47-year history of FEMA. politico.com/news/2026/03/2…

I don’t agree with universal high income A paycheck may keep the lights on, but it does not give a person purpose. People need more than comfort and idle distraction. They need something that makes them feel useful, needed, and alive, whether that is work, family, faith, service, building something, or striving toward a goal. When people have no sense of meaning, no responsibility, and no reason to get up with intention, frustration and emptiness can turn into anger, restlessness, and destructive behavior. A life without fulfillment is not really living at all. People need a reason to matter, because purpose is what keeps both individuals and society steady.

It is becoming more apparent that a main goal of the Trump administration is to destabilize Europe and NATO while supporting Russia. This is a total reversal of previous administrations. The question that needs to be asked and answered is Why.

Do you guys remember how I told you I have a stalker? He’s my ex fiancé from when I was 21. I have him blocked on everything but last we spoke he is supposed to be here in Northwest Arkansas next week. And these flowers just got delivered to my work yesterday and all the card said was see you soon. 😳

I’ve said before that the most surprising thing to me about Americans’ reaction to the Trump era has been the relative indifference to flagrant corruption. I didn’t expect it and I don’t understand it. It’s the deadliest poison they’ve injected into the Republic’s bloodstream.

#Peace is not something we must invent: it is something we must embrace by accepting our neighbor as a brother or sister. We do not choose our brothers and sisters: we must simply accept one another! We are one family, inhabiting the same home: this wonderful planet that ancient cultures have cared for over millennia. #ApostolicJourney #Cameroon
