Singer Kelis is selling black versions of Mario, Luigi, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie, saying it’s part of her mission to make more people feel “represented and included.” 🙄 Instead of changing these characters...why not come up with something original? Create your own black character/show...hmmm, what a thought, right? 🤔

On 4th of July Independence Day, you should know the Income Tax was deemed Unconstitutional “There's no income tax in America until the Civil War. An emergency one Lincoln pushed after the Civil War, it's repealed 1892. They tried to have a peacetime income tax, it’s declared unconstitutional Woodrow Wilson pushes through the income tax, the 16th Amendment in 1913. It's a 1% tax on the top 1% richest people in the country. It's not to tax the people, it’s to go after those robber barons. The Rockefellers, Carnegies, J. Paul Getty's, the Astors. It would be sort of like today that only Warren Buffett and Bill Gates and George Soros, that's what the tax is for. And so you have Taft, pushing through a corporate income tax. And only the extreme wealthy owned corporate stock, so it was a backdoor way to get at them. Teddy Roosevelt was responsible for inheritance tax, because only the extreme wealthy had an inheritance worth leaving. But finally, Woodrow Wilson pushes through the income tax, which is the 1% tax on the top 1% richest people.” And today this is all applied to everyone Let me clearly break down the order of events: During the Civil War era (1861–1872) The first federal income tax was enacted during the Civil War under Lincoln. It was a temporary wartime measure. It was repealed in 1872, The Supreme Court upheld it as constitutional in Springer v. United States In 1894 there was another peacetime attempt at an income tax. Congress passed a 2% tax on incomes over $4,000 as part of the Wilson-Gorman Tariff Act. The Supreme Court struck it down in Pollock v. Farmers’ Loan & Trust Co. They again said it was unconstitutional So next in 1913 Congress forces an income tax on us with the 16th Amendment But what else happened in 1913? The federal reserve was established We had a central banking takeover and that same year they passed the income tax to steal from all of us This should have never been allowed to happened, the income tax was ruled unconstitutional It’s time to set Americans free and abolish the income tax

😱 Karen goes full unhinged on a landscaping crew who doesn’t speak English — and tells them they’re “going to die.” The workers stay calm, keep their heads down, and continue working while she screams threats they can’t even understand. Pure entitlement. Pure aggression. Zero self-awareness. This isn’t a “misunderstanding.” This is someone who felt comfortable threatening people just trying to do their job.

In the early hours of July 11, 2022, 25 year old Nicholas Bostic was driving through Lafayette, Indiana, when he noticed a two story house on fire. There were no firefighters outside yet. No police. Nicholas did not even have his phone with him to call 911. So he stopped his car and ran toward the flames. Nicholas entered through the back of the house and began shouting to see if anyone was inside. He raced upstairs and found an 18 year old, a toddler and two 13 year old girls. The family had been asleep and unaware that a fire, which began near the front porch, was spreading through their home. Nicholas led all four of them downstairs and out through the back door. He could have stayed outside. Then he asked one question. Was anyone else still inside? They told him a six year old girl was missing. Nicholas turned around and ran back into the burning house. Smoke had become so thick he could barely see. The heat was overwhelming, and he later admitted he was terrified the house could explode. Then, somewhere through the darkness, he heard a faint cry. "I heard a faint whine, a faint crying noise and I went down there till I found that baby," Nicholas later recalled. He followed the sound and found the little girl. By then, the smoke and flames had cut off their escape. Nicholas carried her upstairs, punched through a second floor window with his bare fist and prepared to jump. He held the girl against his body and leapt from the window. Police body camera footage captured Nicholas emerging from the darkness carrying her toward an officer. Badly injured and struggling to breathe, his first concern was the child. "Please tell me that baby's OK." The girl survived. All five people Nicholas helped escape survived. Nicholas was hospitalized for three days and was initially in critical condition after suffering severe smoke inhalation, first and second degree burns and a serious laceration to his arm. He eventually recovered. When asked whether he would ever do it again, Nicholas gave a simple answer. "If opportunity came again and I had to do it, I would do it. I knew what I was risking. I knew the next second it could be my life. But every second counted." He was simply driving through the night when he saw a house on fire. Minutes later, five people were alive because he decided not to keep driving.

As America marks its 250th with misgivings and malaise, how about if we seek inspiration from the Nordic model going forward? I traveled to Scandinavia to understand how these countries achieve prosperity and a high degree of equality -- while also becoming the happiest places on Earth. As Norway's finance minister, @jensstoltenberg, told me: “We actually live the American dream....The American dream, it’s more reality in the Nordic countries than in America.” They do have real challenges, and it's not entirely clear that the Nordic model is fully sustainable, let alone replicable. And we're not going to adopt it wholesale. But the US was actually on a similar track in the 1950s and 1960s, so it's not exactly alien. And I argue that in the Nordic model there is much to admire and learn from -- and adopt. Here's a gift link, and I welcome your thoughts: nytimes.com/2026/07/04/opi…
