In Canada when I do self check out at the grocery store I have to manually scans my items But at the clothing store I mostly shop at (Uniqlo) I can just place my items in a bin and it uses NFC technology to auto detect the items for me Is Canada actually innovative?

@DamiDina I didnt know that was a large problem for them tbh. But it makes sense. Security is usually at-odds with convenience and our crime situation is not improving.

I have a feeling loblaws would rather their grocery stores feel like jail to prevent food theft (big issue in Canada since covid lockdowns) Than be an innovative grocery store. Maybe whole foods is more high end but still doesn’t have auto checkout in Canada?

should be 0%, I dont burn a ton of tokens so I pay for Pro to use Claude Code. And I dont use the web bc I code and run it on my Obsidian vault for non-coding tasks... I will not be renewing now. Almost thinking using OpenCode Go + Claude API for occasional heavy tasks is better.

Anthropic just pulled Claude Code from the Pro plan. Pro users wanting it need Max now. $100/month minimum. 5x jump. I'm on Max 20x so I'm fine. Flagging for anyone on Pro who's about to find out. No announcement. Just a pricing page edit.
