Bangalore has a new startup campus, a place to live, work, learn, and build. @dsh_india has just launched Tower 2 right besides the existing Tower 1. I was there for the launch and it was incredible to see both towers buzzing with young entrepreneurs building their dreams together. A new chapter is just getting started.

Last year, a friend asked me for ₹5 lakh, promising to return it within a week. I trusted him and gave money, but getting it back was a long struggle. I had to remind him many times throughout the year. Once, he even asked me to collect ₹1 lakh from his family in cash. Eventually, he returned the full amount, but in instalments. Today morning, he called again asking for ₹2 lakh. At that moment, I wondered how he could even ask again after what happened. One important lesson I learned is never lend a large amount of money to anyone. Only lend amount that you can afford to lose, so even if it doesn’t come back, it won’t disturb your peace.

Back when I was trading in Bharat, years before we opened our own factory, I sourced a great product. Visited the factory, met the owner, did my due diligence, everything checked out ✅ Pitched to overseas clients, months of negotiations, prices finalized, samples approved, details locked in. Deals were confirmed and purchase orders sent. Then… complete silence from the factory. No replies to calls, messages, or emails. Radio silence. With orders already placed and pressure mounting, I flew up to the factory to confront him. Cornered him and asked straight: “What the fuck is going on?” His sheepish reply: “Papa ne mana kiya.” He was a 40-year-old grown man. I was livid. Abhay gadhe… if Papa is the boss, why the hell were you calling the shots?? Had to embarrassingly explain the situation to my buyers. They were annoyed, orders were cancelled. Looking back, I should actually thank that man child. He was one of the reasons I decided to open my own factory in Bharat. Too many variables, all the control in others hands. I know he will read this. Thank you, my friend.
