This is a moral battle. Possibly for the coming second enlightenment.

“To have no contingency plans [to keep the Strait of Hormuz open] and then come running to the allies to say, you need to help us - no wonder he’s not been backed.” Donald Trump starting a war with Iran without having contingency plans to keep the Strait of Hormuz open “beggars belief”, says Times Radio presenter @afneil

@bilawalsidhu Is the same system that bombed a school full of children?
English

@dchaplot He will get cycled through like the rest with no decernable progress made towards actual AI. Cannot wait until someone stops messing around and actually goes for this properly.

I'm joining SpaceX and xAI, working closely with Elon and team to build superintelligence.
Together SpaceX and xAI combine physical and digital intelligence under a leader who understands hardware at the deepest level. Add a high-agency culture with frontier-scale resources, and you get the possibility to achieve something truly unique.
I’m excited to advance the fields I’ve obsessed over for years, from robotics research to building AI models on the founding teams of Mistral and TML. Both were extraordinary journeys with extraordinary people that shaped how I think about building intelligence from the ground up.
Grateful for everything that brought me here and can’t wait to get started.

@fabinrasheed @NASAAmes ...expect more swirling. A 3D animation would be more useful.
English

@fabinrasheed @NASAAmes It could be that the stars shape is squatted (wider at the equator and narrow at the pole). You also have different rotational momentum and density layers. So this might actually create this sort of refractory effect at the moment opposing forces start to break down. I would....

What does a supernova look like?
This visualization simulates the first 150 milliseconds of a supernova. As the star collapses in on itself, hot gas emits from its core in uneven shock waves. Researchers use computer simulations like this to more accurately understand the events of a dying star.
English

@NASAAmes Ooooooh, does this simulation predict temperatures. The bow shock is quite something. Could the design of the parachute be changed to move the bow shock forward? Could the parachute be removed completely?
English

Preparing for future missions to the Red Planet's surface.
The LAVA team at NASA Ames is developing a simulation tool that accurately models how a parachute inflates when deployed behind a payload moving at supersonic speed.
Researchers tested and improved their approach by simulating an actual supersonic parachute flight test, the one you see here, and compared results with real-world data.
This effort is helping engineers better study how these parachutes will perform on future missions to Mars and beyond. go.nasa.gov/3P6FuQI

@NASAAdmin There has got to be someone better then this to oversee NASA.

In a few weeks, 8.8 million pounds of thrust will propel the Artemis II crew on their historic journey around the Moon - but we’re not stopping there. We’re going to launch Artemis missions every year and build an enduing presence on the lunar surface.
America is returning to the Moon, and this time, we’re staying.

@Telegraph @alexlarman Perhaps if you removed the person on the other side of the note, that would free up space.

@xbxnxdxcxtx @xai I'm currently trying to fund a start up that eats satellites. Yes you heard that correctly. It's not as if there are any regulations up in space so it's perfectly legal. Basically launch a rocket, then contain or de orbit the satellite(s) in question to free up the lanes.

If you're young and built something real instead of padding a resume -- garage projects in high school, robotics, pro gaming, sneaker bots, shipping side projects while your friends were joining college clubs, building things instead of taking internships you didn't care about -- DM me. I don't care about your GPA. I care about what you couldn't stop yourself from making.

Many talented people over the past few years were declined an offer or even an interview @xAI. My apologies. @BarisAkis and I are going through the company interview history and reaching back out to promising candidates.

@dorsetpolice So you'll "investigate" cough petty crime like this, but you will not bother to investigate when someone batters my skull from behind. Which results in neck injuries and possible brain damage. Right. OK.

@RupertLowe10 You might want to consider setting up a new shadow cabinet.

Right. Some good news. Restore Britain now has local branches established across over 100 parliamentary constituencies. In less than four weeks since launch.
Incredible progress.
Local meetings have already taken place, and more invitations are being sent every day. Keep an eye on your email for an invite - we are rapidly building out our infrastructure.
To those who have applied to lead locally, hundreds have already been through our vetting and interview process. Dozens more do so each day. If you haven't heard yet, you will soon.
This is a team effort. We need your help. So when you get the invite, get involved. Knock on doors. Attend meetings Deliver leaflets. Speak to friends/family. Get others to join the party.
This is how we win.
And make no mistake - Restore Britain can win the next election.
