Not a single person in the Iran office was affected by RIFs.
It's disappointing that the @AP decided to denigrate the career foreign service officers and civil servants who currently lead the NEA bureau.

Foreign dollars (often with strings attached) have been flowing into U.S. universities. It’s time the American people find out exactly who’s paying — and at what cost.
Starting now, my office will take a brand-new role in partnership with @usedgov and Under Secretary Kent delivering on @POTUS’s executive order to bring transparency to foreign money in U.S. higher education and research.⬇️

Under the leadership of @POTUS and @SecRubio, we have expanded our successful visa bonds pilot program to nationals of an additional 12 countries, bringing the total to 50 countries. The Biden Administration had 44k illegal overstays from these countries in just one year. We have near ZERO with bonds. This is saving American taxpayers over $800 million per year they would have had to pay to remove aliens from these countries who overstayed. This commonsense solution is just one example of our effective consular policies that are putting Americans and their interests first.

.@PressSec: "@POTUS and his team, especially @SecWar and @SecRubio, continue to be in touch with their counterparts in Europe and of course our allies in the Arab and Gulf region to step up and do more to help the United States in securing the Strait of Hormuz. This is to their benefit, more-so than it is to the benefit of the United States."
