WELCOME MR. GIVENS!! The Madison County Board of Education has hired Brian Givens to be the new principal at RIS. He comes to Madison Co. from Madison City, where he served as principal of Rainbow Elementary School. Mr. Givens taught at Hazel Green High School from 2008 - 2014.

@timgels @AppelShari @curiouslibraryn Me too! I find our local Gray Rat snakes to be the most curious and social. They are also lovers of climbing and that porch rail was irresistible.

What is happening? This is the 3rd snake I’ve seen in two weeks! I came home for lunch and was going to sit on the porch, but obviously never going out there again (until winter?)!

@curiouslibraryn A beautiful and healthy gray rat snake. They’re nosy, but friendly … unless you’re a rat, bird, or rabbit. Glad you survived - not for the faint of heart!

This snake was waiting around the bend on my way back up the hill on my driveway. I took the picture as I ran by because if I died, I wanted my family to be able to identify my killer.

@breder @AUCollegeofEd @MCSS_CTE @MadCoSchools Lol! Space camp wasn’t around until 1982, but the museum was. That’s a real pic from my visit to the museum. I always wanted to come to space camp. This year I finally had the chance. It was the best PD you could ever get. I just had to recreate the picture!

Highlights from my Space Academy week of training. AL teachers of any subject can apply and scholarship to attend. It is an incredible learning opportunity. I met wonderful and incredible teachers & learned and tried lots of new things. @AUCollegeofEd @MCSS_CTE @MadCoSchools
