@SelfMadeMastery Canadians who dictate how English words from England ought to be spoken or written should be recolonised with immediate effect. It’s maths.

BREAKING: The Netherlands just told its citizens to go to hell. They just approved a 36% tax on unrealized gains. You didn't sell anything. You didn't make a single euro in cash. Your portfolio went up on paper. The government sends you a bill anyway. 67,000 citizens petitioned against it. Parliament approved it anyway. No cash to pay the tax? Not their problem. Asset crashes after you paid? Not their problem. This is not tax policy. This is the government treating your paper gains as their income. Before you've made a single euro. The most talented Dutch investors are already leaving. The most ambitious builders are already gone. Capital goes where it is treated best. And right now that is anywhere but the Netherlands. 2028 is coming. Plan accordingly.

Advice. I had a fender bender in the Cannon Hill shopping centre carpark. February this year. I admitted fault because it was my fault. You can see where my bullbar tapped it. No damage to my vehicle and the only thing damaged was the light protector as shown in the pic. I didn't bother with insurance as it was minimal and I'd pay the cost. Well they finalised it to day. $2310. For that bracket.

🚨 #BREAKING: Florida just busted an *MASSIVE* INTERNATIONAL child p*rnagraphy ring with over 1M videos involved... including babies. "If you are a child predator, if you are one of these sick people, then I hope you NEVER SEE THE SUN AGAIN." - FLORIDA AG This is sick. "Over a million videos showing s*xual abuse on minors, many of these were babies... that are being sold around the world." "As a dad of three little ones, it's it's tough to talk about some of this stuff, but what these guys were doing was truly heinous. There's not a word in the English dictionary that can describe the gross content that was on the videos." "These 8 defendants are being charged with multiple felony counts, including RICO, money laundering and purchase of child p*rnography."

@JamesMelville You mean… We as “private citizens” retain our privacy while our “public servants” operate in complete transparency with public accountability? It might work

Here’s an idea… Rather than the government mandating digital ID on all of us, we should be mandating digital ID on the government to monitor exactly where they spend our tax money and the meetings they have with corporate lobbyists. We don’t serve them. They serve us.

You have every right to know what your government is doing, and they have no right to know what you are doing. That is why they are called public servants and we are called private citizens. Instead, the relationship has been inverted. The state hides behind secrecy, classified files, and redactions while demanding total visibility into your finances, communications, movement, and behavior. A society where the rulers live in privacy while the population lives under surveillance is the very definition of tyranny.

Capital gains tax shouldn’t exist. I risk my money. I build the business. I make the investment. I do the work. I take the risk. So why the hell should the government take a cut of my success? They risk nothing. They create nothing. They just take. Parasites. F’en parasites.

⚠️ WARNING - NEW SCAM (Stay Safe) 🙏 It's no secret, NFTs are being revived on the #FlareNetwork, and with this comes new threats. Opportunist looking to take your hard earned $FLR. In the past hour, some of you may have received a *free* NFT, disguised as a malicious phishing scam. The idea is simple, send an NFT to thousands of wallets and hope that someone is intrigued enough to visit the promoted website which will inevitably ask you for your secret phrase or to sign a transaction to drain your wallet. The Flare Network is cheap to transact on, so minting and distributing thousands of NFTs for a couple of $ could pay big if just one whale gets caught in this mess. Scammers will make you feel unsafe, they will pressure you to act fast, they will direct you to malicious websites. Please, if you read this post and do just one thing, let it be this: NEVER SHARE YOUR SECRET PHRASE OR SIGN TRANSACTIONS FROM AN UNKNOWN WEBSITE 🙏 Oh and sharing this post would also help. You may also see an uptick in scams that allow you to "earn extra FLR" in the "upcoming FIRE governance", or send me 1M FLR, I'll send you 2M back. If something is too good to be true, it probably is. Follow official accounts only, do not get greedy, and stick to the rule I mentioned above. $FLR is becoming increasingly popular and more desirable, don't give it away to scammers. Be Safe. *Image from recent scam NFT seen below: flare-explorer.flare.network/token/0x4f02Eb…

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 The English were not the only ones to demand their king answer to them. A century after Runnymede, fifty Scots sealed a declaration of their own. ⚔️ It went further than the English barons had ever dared. Their king was excommunicated. Their country had been at war for 30 years. The Pope had refused to recognise that their kingdom existed at all. So they wrote to him. ⚖️ They sealed the declaration with more than 50 personal seals. Not one king's seal. 50. Each man committing his own identity, his own house, and his own life, to the words on the page. 📜 The Declaration said something nobody in Christendom had ever put in writing before. It said that a king of Scotland did not rule by his own right. He ruled by the consent of his people. If he ever submitted them back to English rule, the Scots would cast him out and choose another king from among themselves. A medieval king, bound by the consent of his people, to be removed if he failed them. This was 1320. 🔥 And then the Declaration said the line. It said the Scots were not fighting for glory. They were not fighting for riches. They were not fighting for honours. They were fighting for one thing only. For freedom alone, the Declaration said, no honest man surrenders, but with his life. 🏛️ That line was read at the dissolution of the Scottish Parliament in 1707. At the opening of the new Scottish Parliament in 1999. At Scottish memorial services for the wars of the 20th century. For 700 years, the line has never gone out of use. The original Declaration of Arbroath still exists. A single piece of vellum, the ink faded, some of the seals fallen off, the rest hanging from the bottom of the page on silk cords 700 years old. It is held by the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh. UNESCO added it to the Memory of the World register in 2016. On these islands, the idea that a king rules by the consent of his people is ancient. Older than the kings who tried to break it. Older than the countries we now live in. Older than the languages we now speak. The English barons reformed the throne. The Scots threatened it. ✍️ One island. One spirit. 🇬🇧 The British write their own history. They always have. Help us remember who we are. Help us remember every British achievement. 👇🙏 👉 proudofus.co.uk/support 👈 Be part of us. ☝️🇬🇧 Be Proud Of Us. 🙏🇬🇧

Here's my ride while in Yangshuo. 7 USD a day. Electric. Having one of these changes your holiday for the better. Interestingly, the renter didn’t ask for my ID or deposit and just handed it to me. This has been the case in Xiamen and Sanya too when I have rented a bike. They just say “here you go” and you take the bike. High trust society? There are no cameras here in the mountains.

Nothing screams ‘trust us’ like a Windows update that takes 30+ minutes. I’m convinced Microsoft is using that time to quietly farm my documents, photos, & browser history. Anyone else paranoid or is it just me?
