Today’s #KUCancerFighter hero is Sandy Ricke, a 55-year-old from Sharon, KS who has been courageously battling numerous forms of cancer since 2018. Sandy is the ultimate fighter having tackled ovarian, lung, liver and colon cancer head on. She’s already surpassed the doctors’ original life expectancy by 4 years and though she recently went into hospice care, this lifelong Jayhawk is soaking up every moment she can and savoring each chance she gets to be with her beloved family. Earlier this month her entire family gathered with her for a special celebration & Sandy had one of her best days in a long time as she was surround by loved ones. Jayhawk Nation, let’s let Sandy feel the love and support of KU fans far and wide for the tremendous inspiration she’s been and continues to be for so many in the fight! Today’s call is for you, Sandy! ❤️💙 #kubball
