@TheEbonyMaw @PandasAndVidya Oh toddler gibberish is cute but frustrating at the same time and it’s hard not to laugh when you figure out what they are trying to say.
English

This is one of the most difficult parts of raising toddlers.
They want something. They don’t know how to say the actual word. You ask questions to try to help, which only confuses or frustrates them.
Like trying to solve a puzzle in pitch black & only 1 piece glows in the dark.

@ShamashAran @NyazdaMeowta There’s a time and place to be drunk in public, and it’s called Vegas.
English

@NyazdaMeowta Alcohol does far more damage to society and people than weed does, but yeah, we tried that shit once and it didn't go well.
I just think we should be more heavy handed with people who are drunk in public, or drive drunk, or commit crimes while drunk, and leave the rest alone.
English

You can buy beer and wine on sundays after a certain hour.
Liquor, no.
While I think it should be changed, enabling more liquor sales is on my priority list right above making it a crime not to put your shopping cart back in the corral or inside the store.

Texas is such an amazing state because I have the freedom to bring my AR15 into any store I want and get told I can’t buy beer today because of Jesus.

@tekthis1 @TheEbonyMaw I don't want to be biologically immortal. Put my brain in a robot body or digitize it completely. Flesh is weak. :P
English

@xanxur @TheEbonyMaw They updated it apparently. The last time I had seen it, it was 500 years. Now it’s 700 - 2000 years.
English

@tekthis1 @TheEbonyMaw It was 940-ish years. Prob you or someone up the chain bungled that into this.
English

@xanxur @TheEbonyMaw It’s not a flex. Someone did the math and statistically the average person would succumb to some kind of accident, whether a car accident, so some other fatal injury by approximately 500 years. This is excluding health related reasons.
English

@tekthis1 @TheEbonyMaw no, statistically, people in today's conditions would live almost a thousand years. And conditions can vastly improve.
also, what kinda flex is this? "Heh, you'd only live 5x longer than me!". Are ya a dog???
English

@from_maniac @ShamashAran They should bill the late person then apply it to the inconvenienced patients bill or copay.
English

@ShamashAran My wife is a nurse who sees patients regularly. You'd be surprised how many delays/backups that you experience are due to tardiness of other patients that shift an entire day's schedule.
English

@PolitiBunny I’m pretty sure in Roman numerals she would read it as World War 111
English

@Tech85333574 @desert_starr_57 I remember all those movies. I need to make my daughter watch them.
English

@tekthis1 @desert_starr_57 Yeah the good old days when we'd hand out lifelong trauma to kids like it was candy on Halloween...
I honestly think we're stronger people for it in the long run but LAWD!

English

@WhiteWolf_1776 @_Hazardous_Wolf Do yellow cats have more or less brain cells than an orange cat?
English

@desert_starr_57 How about these?
(I personally know the Thomas and Martha Wayne costumers, lol)

Last night I was listening to a video discussing the Fermi Paradox, the Great Filter, and the various theories involving them.
What if the Great Filter isn't something catastrophic like AI takeover, nuclear war, or natural disasters?
What if it's antinatalism?
